21.01.2022 *****50m pool update****** The 50m pool is expected to reopen in mid-December We are pleased to provide you with an update on the reopening of the 50m pool at HBF Arena.... We are continuing works to replace and reinforce the bracing beams of the pool. The most recent advice from our structural engineers is that further works are required to ensure the long term integrity and safety of the pool structure. We will soon be commencing these additional works and once completed we will be able to refill the pool, pending engineer sign off. We expect to reopen the pool in time for the school holidays, around mid-December. This is an estimate only as we cannot commit to a set reopening date just yet but will update you as the works progress and our Health Department reopening approvals are sought. We are deeply disappointed that we have not yet been able to open the pool to you. We appreciate that as the weather warms up, access to the pool will be sorely missed by our lap and recreational swimmers. Please be assured that our team is doing all we can, in conjunction with our structural engineers, to get the pool operational. Thank you for being a customer of HBF Arena and for your continued patience.

20.01.2022 ****POOL UPDATE**** Update: 3 November Thank you for your ongoing patience as we continue efforts to reopen the 50m pool.... The installation of additional bracing has commenced and the works are going well. We are still aiming to reopen the pool in mid-December and at this stage, the timeline of works is on track for this to happen. We greatly appreciate your continued patience and look forward to sharing further updates with you as the works progress.

19.01.2022 SAUSAGE SIZZLE SUCCESS! Thanks to all our volunteers who assisted with our fundraiser at Bunnings Joondalup on Saturday. We raised a terrific $2,200! Less hotdo...gs sold than last year, but profit maintained due to the substantial stock donations from our members; Woolworths in Butler (who donated 900 sausages!) and a $100 donation from Premier Avan. The Swimming WA Life Members Trophy is awarded to the swimmer who is the most consistent ablebodied performer at the Hancock Prospecting WA Long Course Swimming Championships, aged 17 - 18 years old for female athletes and 18 - 19 years old for male athletes, at the time of the event.
