Thanks so much to ArtsReady and Creative Victoria for this opportunity [Image description in comments]

12.01.2022 We are so excited to be collaborating with Ajak Kwai and the Bendigo South Sudanese Women's Ensemble for the Castlemaine State Festival opening night. Riel Dë Nyiër (meaning strong love) is a musical arrangement featuring live acapella chants matched with dramatic percussion, and original song compositions sung in English and Dinka. It intertwines stories and original songs of the civil war in South Sudan with personal accounts of each of the performers unique journey in no...w calling Australia home. Directed by our Artistic Associate Eliza Hull, this amazing work is a celebration of South Sudanese culture in Central Victoria.
