20.01.2022 A new short-form comedy series in development with support from Screen Australia, Arguments With My Mum will take a fun intergenerational look at the Greek Australian experience of family. Created by Writer/Director Jason Christou and Producer Lee Matthews, co-written with Zoe Carides and co-produced with Naomi Mulholland, the show will offer up a light-hearted insight into the world of university student Dom as he battles with his mother Elle. Based on real-life arguments Ja...son has had with his own mother, each short episode will take turns exploring contentious family issues of today; everything from technology to money, religion to food. The show will delve into the differing perspectives of a migrant mother and her first-generation son, with his Yia Yia and the rest of the family often chiming in after all democracy was created in Greece! Its Mother and Son served with a souvlaki. Production is slated for early 2020.
