16.01.2022 This is Jersey and she is picture perfect This sweet little girl was too close to some action and got in the way of some foot traffic. She was a little sore and tender, so came in for her first visit to emergency. Dr Matt and nurse Vickie couldn’t resist this little ball of floof, and after her examination (which confirmed soft tissue injury) a few snuggles were snuck in!... Mum reports that Jersey is growing fast, and has become such a loved member of the family (and is still so fluffy )

14.01.2022 Meet Jerry Most 20 week old puppies are playful and cheeky and are learning the way of the world. Little did Jerry know, he was about to embark on the fight for his life! ... Very opposite from his normal happy self, mum knew something was seriously wrong when Jerry was lethargic and started vomiting. Dr Kathy initially saw Jerry, and after some repeated diagnostic imaging it was confirmed that there was free abdominal fluid and suspicious mass in his abdomen that was very close to his liver. Jerry was transported to our Homebush hospital and underwent surgery to have the mass removed - and fortunately so as it was a hepatic abscess (infection on his liver) After a few days in intensive care, and then follow on treatment from his regular vet, we can fast forward to a now very happy, healthy and growing Jerry who is loved beyond what words can describe

08.01.2022 He is as cute as a button, but Theodore was one very unwell kitty. Theodore had only been in his fur-ever home for a couple of days when he started limping and became lethargic. Having high temperatures, he had us all very worried! Some in-house diagnostic tests ruled out some of our concerns, and after a night in hospital it was decided that Theodore should return to his regular vet, Riverstone Vet Hospital, for ongoing care and management.... Good news is that Theodore is recovering from his ordeal. Mum reports that he is gaining weight, and still has that adorable little kissable face As an after hours emergency service, we work closely with your regular veterinarian to provide care to your loved ones when they need it the most 9639 7744

05.01.2022 Humphrey, Humphrey! What are we going to do with you! This gorgeous little boy had two trips to emergency within two weeks! The first was for a laceration on his leg, which thankfully was not serious and healed well with some pain relief and wound care.... The second visit was a little more serious, as he had ingested some ibuprofen and required hospitalisation over a couple of days. Humphrey is back home and doing well - hopefully keeping himself out of trouble! If your pet has ingested something they shouldn’t have, always seek veterinary advice! 9639 7744

03.01.2022 This resonates throughout the whole veterinary industry An important reminder that kindness can go a long way

02.01.2022 This is Matilda We saw Matilda a little while back, when she had eaten a small amount of rodenticide. She had also eaten something else, which took us by surprise when bright blue discs dotted her vomit.... Matilda isn’t the first patient that has made us go ‘wow’ when inducing emesis, and as the saying goes, better out than in! We are happy to hear that since then she has been really well, and as far as we know, not eating anything she shouldn’t!

01.01.2022 Meet Zeus - this big hunk of love was as tall as our benches and maybe the biggest patient we have seen this year - tipping the scales at 79.4kg! Zeus came to us as he ate something he shouldn’t have - good news is he is totally ok! This cheeky boy is definitely keeping mum and dad on their toes - that sweet face would have you believe that butter doesn’t melt in his mouth!... Thanks for the cuddles big boy - but stick to food in your bowl from now on!
