18.01.2022 WORKER WANTED We are looking for another worker to join our team @ Michael Lane Racing at Aria Lodge. It is currently a part time position with a minimum of 30 ...hrs a week . Monday to Saturday AM with the occasional afternoon and odd Sunday. This position will include all duties of feed , care and training of the Racehorse including ; picking up yards, waters, feeds, putting horses in and out of paddocks, rugging, saddling up, farrier ,putting horses on the walker, swimming horses in a pool , riding and going to races/trials ect. We also run TB Agistment so duties of this are included ; feeding the aggisters, farrier day for the aggisters and attending to the aggisters when needed. And we run a small band of broodmares which in the Spring will include working with them with Vet work for Stud, dealing with foals ect and then there is also weanling/yearling handling along the way. Our newest member need to be an experienced horse person with experience riding racehorses. Our Racehorses are trained on the farm around our track. We incorporate trackwork, beach/estuary ect into our training. We are located in Boyanup WA, this person needs to have their own transport. 15.01.2022 AGISTMENT & PRE TRAINING VACANCIES. We currently have Racehorse/Yearling/Broodmare agistment vacancies available. Big shady paddocks with plenty of feed in appropriate groups. We have farrier and vet here weekly for regular care and any extras needed. Our horses do well and go home refreshed and happy.... Michael Lane Racing has some vacancies for Pre Training on our rural training establishment . We offer a full range of Pre Training and Training needs ; from swimming and light work to full training of your Racehorse. Our facilities include large fully covered , open air yards, a 2000m sand track used for all of our work including galloping, fantastic horse pool, Horse Walker, grass day yards and arena for something different and to help re-educate those ones that have lost their way a bit. We are more than happy to take horses for Pre Training with no obligation for them to stay on to be raced. Also offered for the first time limited Show Pony/Galloway spelling . paddocked with other show ponies in a 2.5 acre reticulated, shaded paddock near the house. No rugging, feed and hay as necessary. 08.01.2022 Position has been filled. Thank you to all that enquired. We are looking for a part time worker which could lead to afull time position. To start with we are lo...oking for someone for some afternoons and weekend work. The work will include feed and care of TB racehorses including ; mucking out, doing waters, feeding up, putting horses in and out of paddocks, putting horses on the walker, swimming horses. We also have TB agistment so some Feed and care of these will be involved as well including mares and foals, yearlings and racehorses. A decent level of horse handling/experience is required and riding experience is a bonus as the job could lead to a riding position.
