Criminals scout for opportunities. They look for purses, phones, iPods, computer bags, shopping bags, etc. that can be seen from the window of your car. Two out of every five people don't hide their valuables. 2. Leave no trace. Even if you stash the valuables, don't forget to hide the accessories! Plugs, adapters, jackets, soft toys, GPS, maps and tourist attractions pamphlet need to be hidden too. 3. Hide it before you drive. It is advisable to leave all luggages in the hotel or apartment before decided to visit the tourist attraction spots. Law authorities say thieves stake out parking lots of retail areas. They look for people stashing items in their trunks. 4. Stay visible. Park where there is a lot of traffic and in a highly visible location. 5. Be alert of sign of car break-in. City of Perth introduces multi-lingual warning signs about theft threat in popular tourist spots. What to do when it happen? Do not panic and please follow these steps. 1. Document the scene. The car was driven by a Malaysian lady age 25 years old, who arrived at Perth International Airport in the morning via Air Asia. Upon arrival, she and her friend picked up the car and drove straight to The Pinnacles, which is approximately 200kms from Perth. The driver are believed to be very exhausted after the long flight and slept off on the wheels. The car rolled over on the Indian Ocean Drive. At Aries Car Rental, we valued our customers.
