23.01.2022 The mystery of chronic pain can be demystified when we look at the current science of it.. - note: although I am not claiming to be an academia in pain, I can however share snippets of working with bodies and people's stories over the past 12 years - knowing your pain triggers is a big advantage to curbing an oncoming pain cycle as well as knowing what your nervous system needs to off set the 'attack' hint: building a robust nervous system ... -pain and emotions are almost inseparable so regulating your nervous system and emotions is gold to feeling well eg meditation and solid rituals (including exercise) - the most recent science says that all pain begins in the brain- Yes tissues have neuroreceptors that send necessary signals to the brain, however the brain decides how long these signals need to hang out in the body - so for this reason, also all people experience pain differently.It is an individual experience, unique to you - pain is a messenger necessary for survival and without the signal we are actually more vulnerable. eg running around on an injury isn't ideal - on another level (energetic-my jam) : chronic pain is when experience enters our body and is not finding its way out (think overwhelming experiences| trauma - big or small) ..there is so much to explore and learn from your body, it is endless
