24.01.2022 They look beautiful, but the smell is divine!

24.01.2022 Another day of olive tree pruning about to start. I feel so lucky to be living here! Those sunrises (and sunsets!) never grow old

22.01.2022 Good night everybody!

19.01.2022 Spring! Olives are coming into bud.

19.01.2022 Not a bad day in the grove

19.01.2022 A busy day 'in the garden'. Making new garden beds, digging over the veggie patch and planting tomatoes, capsicum and cucumbers. Potting the spider plants René grew from cuttings and planting Jasmine and rosemary. Lunch breaks and 'smoko' with gardening books and Google and lots of snacks it's hungry and thirsty work! Now to go spend a fortune on plants for the new garden bed!

18.01.2022 The Dualities of Life

18.01.2022 After a long day pruning and mulching the clippings it's nice to sit down with a little fire and a beer. What a beautiful day!

18.01.2022 Wow!! Never seen the olive trees blossom like this before!! And not just one or two trees either, all five hundred of them!

17.01.2022 It would be so beautiful, if we could only fool ourselves it's a field of lavender there at the neighbours......

16.01.2022 And how exactly am I supposed to get anything done around the place? Apparently I'm the 'scratch me here' underling today.... And it's a full time appointment, unpaid overtime.

16.01.2022 Look who I found this morning! A little Joey in the pouch of its dead mum. :( It 'helped' me train horses all morning snugly tucked away in a linen bag strapped around my neck under my jumper before it got picked up to go to a Wires home. I feel lonely already! I'm sure the poddy lamb and the Joey would have got along great....

15.01.2022 Meet Lilly and Ginger who are going to be our guests for a month! Ben Jazzy and Nellie are exhausted already but luckily these two young ones have each other to play with once our three 'oldies' have had enough.

15.01.2022 How many persons does it take to prune an olive tree? Apparently 6! A human, 3 dogs, a cat (to supervise of course!) and a horse. I'm soaking wet from the water still on the branches and leaves, so much so that when it started to softly rain again I didn't even realise it was raining.

15.01.2022 Morning feed time! He's faster at sculling a bottle than the most dedicated of October-fest drinkers their beer!

11.01.2022 Good morning and enjoy your week!

10.01.2022 Here we go again! :)

05.01.2022 Another busy day! Bottling olives and baking Appeltaart. Anyone has any empty glass jars?? We're completely out after extracting honey and now bottling some of the olives. Heaps more to go...

04.01.2022 Who needs the gym when you've got carpet to pull out? A whole day of moving furniture, ripping carpet out, removing nails and staples not to mention carrying out big rolls of old carpet. Now to wait for the guys who are coming to put in the new floor boards. The cabin will look grand! (And the living room in the house too!)

04.01.2022 It all of a sudden turned winter overnight! 8am and there's still frost on the grass!

04.01.2022 Too many adventures! Produce store, vet, Battery World, Mower Doctor, and supermarket. Cheddar opted to stay in the car while we quickly went for two more errands and on the way back he slept and slept. Probably dreaming about all the new friends he made.

02.01.2022 And the bees have been busy! Canola is not only beautifully yellow it's also great for the bees. I might have to split them soon, make two hives out of this one.

01.01.2022 Some of the different types of honey I've extracted. White and creamy, dark gold and a very pale. All different tastes in their reused Meredith Dairy goats cheese jars. Nothing better than freshly baked bread with goats cheese drizzled with honey! #meredithjars

01.01.2022 I know which mulcher I prefer! But unfortunately my mulcher of preference is a bit slow....
