25.01.2022 A lot of small businesses need your support right now. The near future is uncertain and many small business owners are concerned what this means for their families and their patrons. Wherever you can, please support the little guy. I went to the green grocer today and they had an abundance of fresh food, rice, pasta, milk and eggs. Coles and Woolies had none. The local butcher will be only too happy to sell you as many items as your heart and freezer desires, I'm sure. Please... know that if temporary closures come to pass, your support will be what helps a family run business to come back and open their doors once again. For us at Aristocats, we would LOVE to see all the pictures of your cats posted, if they aren't able to make it to their regular spa visit. Take care everybody, of yourselves, your cat's, and each other. Sarah, Carrie, Nicola and Maddie xxx

24.01.2022 Want to know how to keep the furballs away and the furniture clean all year round? Ask about our exclusive Aristocats membership today!

22.01.2022 Our cat grooming members enjoy the ease of booking online appointments at a time that fits into their schedule. They dont need to wait until they see knots and matting appearing and then frantically ring around different salons trying to find a groomer to help them fix the problem. We have always and will always be a cat salon with a focus on grooming as a preventative approach to a cats health and wellbeing. If youre a cat owner who wants the peace of mind knowing your cats grooming is taken care of all year round please contact us via email at [email protected] to find out more about our membership program.

21.01.2022 In order to help slow the spread of COVID-19 we are asking that minimal time is spent in the salon at drop off. We ask that only one customer be in the salon at any one time and if you see that there is someone inside dropping off or picking up their cat, please wait outside until the reception area is free. This is for the health and wellbeing of our staff, clients and community as we work together to limit the chances of COVID-19 contamination.

20.01.2022 Were loving our feline photo booth and hope youre enjoying spotting your cat amongst the highlight reel!!

18.01.2022 It is particularly important to show children how to pick up kittens safely. Even a placid cat will try and use its claws to prevent itself from falling, with the tips of the claws being sharp enough to go through clothing and inflict a painful injury beneath.

18.01.2022 Kittens are naturally clean animals and even a young kitten is likely to be using a litter tray when you acquire it. To help your kitten use its litter tray, place your kitten in the tray when it has finished eating, you can also reinforce this behaviour by placing it in its tray after it has been sleeping or playing.

17.01.2022 Oh dear, it seems I'm not getting much better at this...

16.01.2022 Aristocats offers a kitten groom to cats under the age of 6 months for only $26. This is a great way of introducing your kitten to the grooming process. Whether they have a long coat or short, it is highly beneficial for them to be socialised to grooming as soon as possible. Our kitten groom includes a bath & blow dry, nails trimmed & comb through to have your kitten looking, smelling and feeling its best!

16.01.2022 We are so lucky getting to see such a wide variety of cats in the salon each week and love sending home clean, relaxed and happy kitties. As cats get used to the grooming process they become easier to handle and many relish the attention!!

15.01.2022 We are following all advice from the Australian government and recommendations from the WHO. Until we are advised not to, we will be open as normal. Social distancing will help Australia slow the spread of COVID-19 so we ask that you please limit your time in our small reception area. We are always happy to discuss your cats needs when they are in for grooming but will try to keep drop off and pick ups as concise as we can. All members are encouraged to book their appointment...s online and use our direct debit options to save time when in the salon. If Aristocats needs to close, all member direct debits will be suspended. While we are closed, no debit payments will be drawn from member accounts. If you have any questions, or would like to chat about your cat's grooming, send us a text or an email and we will get back to you asap.

13.01.2022 Luna is one of our Sapphire members and is a beautiful British Shorthair. The most familiar colour of this breed is the 'British Blue' - a solid grey-blue coat, copper eyes and a medium-sized tail. Although their fur is short it is also very thick and tends to get everywhere! This makes regular grooming and de-shedding even more important to stay on top of the shedding. ... A monthly membership for a short-haired cat costs as little as $25 a week and will dramatically reduce the hair left on your furniture and around the home. For more information please contact us via email at [email protected]

13.01.2022 Due to the current situation regarding the COVID-19 pandemic we have made the decision to close the salon effective from 4th April 2020 at 5pm. Whilst we cannot provide a date for re-opening due to the ever-evolving nature of the Corona Virus we would ideally like to open our doors again in May 2020. We would like to thank all our wonderful members for their understanding and support at this time. Please keep an eye out on our Facebook page for further updates.

13.01.2022 We can't wait!!! The date has finally been announced and we at Aristocats Feline Day Spa are so excited to see so many phenomenally talented Aussie groomers on out tv screens. Of course, with a name like "Pooch Perfect" you can't expect for there to be many cats, but grooming is grooming and all of the amazing competitors love their trade and their fluffy clients as much as I love mine. Who will be watching with me? Sarah xx

12.01.2022 Establishing ground rules for a new kitten is important as they will last throughout the cats lifetime with you. Its important for your cat to learn its name so that it comes when called. Always praise your kitten and make a fuss of it when it responds well in any learning situation.

12.01.2022 Resembling a spotted Asian Leopard Cat, the Bengal is large, robust and muscular. The head is a medium wedge shape and rather small in proportion to its body. The Bengal has a thick, silky, luxurious coat which benefits from regular grooming to keep it in its optimal condition. Regular baths and de-shedding treatments help to prevent excess shedding, and ensure that eyes and ears are kept clean and free from mites and other nasties.

10.01.2022 We are asking that all drop offs in the salon are done as efficiently as possible. This includes all payments being made in advance and membership direct debits being up to date to avoid any need for payment in the salon. We appreciate your cooperation and understanding at this time.

10.01.2022 Why groom cats? Its something we get asked quite a lot by new cat owners, or even people wandering past the salon. Every cat has a greasy coat! You may not be aware of it if you havent given your cat a professional de-greasing bath & blow dry. A cat with a greasy coat, combined with shedding hair is the reason cats develop knots and a matted coat. Regular grooming consisting of a bath and blow dry on all cats, will significantly reduce any maintenance you may find yourself needing to do on your cats. Certain coat types need more frequent bathing to be able to thoroughly prevent the development of knots, mats or hairballs. Regular grooming visits at Aristocats will allow you to enjoy your cats and take away the messy aspects of cat ownership, leaving you to simply enjoy all the benefits!

09.01.2022 One of our legend clients has diversified their business from men's grooming products, to hand sanitiser. Help out a fellow Brisbane family owned business and keep yourself and your family well. We use this sanitiser in the salon and bottles of it will always be available, in reception, for clients to use if they wish.

09.01.2022 Aristocats has always been a salon which employs safe hygiene practices, this includes regular sanitising of all tools and surfaces in the salon with veterinary-grade disinfectant. We will also be introducing extra precautions at this time including regularly sanitising door handles within the salon and offering hand sanitiser to any clients coming into the salon.

08.01.2022 Maine Coons are handsome, sturdy, medium to large cats with colours ranging from white and blue to hazel, copper and black. They are longhaired cats with heavy, shaggy fur, usually thicker and longer around the back. They make perfect pets due to their sweet nature and friendliness. Keeping on top of the grooming can be time-consuming due to their large amount of hair and many of our clients like Peach in the image below visit us every month to help keep them knot free and happy!

08.01.2022 Here at Aristocats we are keeping a close eye on the current government advice and protocols with regard to Covid-19. At the moment, it is business as usual, however we don't know how long that will last. We have urged all clients with appointments for the rest of the month to come in today and tomorrow if they can. If we are able to continue to open into Wednesday and beyond, we would encourage all those with appointments in the upcoming weeks to bring their appointment as f...ar forward as possible. We are in uncertain times right now and while we are all keeping calm and carrying on (at a distance), we are unsure if or when we would need to close, and for how long. Monday and Tuesday this week are fully booked, however if you have an appointment booked for April and would like to move it forward to this week, please contact the salon by TEXT on 0478661877 or email [email protected]

05.01.2022 In order to comply with recommendations to help slow the spread of COVID-19 we are asking that owners who have any symptoms such as cough or fever RESCHEDULE their appointment or find alternative arrangements to get their cat to and from the appointment. Cancellation fees are currently waived until further notice.

05.01.2022 Did you know that we have a membership option to bring in your cat for a groom every 8 weeks? Perfect for cats with short hair or owners who struggle to fit in a monthly groom. Send us an email today to find out more! [email protected]
