22.01.2022 It’s true. Prerna di is real inspiration and do have amazing passion to help people in need.
19.01.2022 My name is Arjun, I am in Mater hospital, oncology department since 7th of January and undergoing induction therapy for AML (a type of blood cancer), which contains a high and crucial dose of chemotherapy. This chemo has numbers of side effects that are making me physically weak. It’s been almost two months that I am away from my family and newborn baby. I did not even get the opportunity to hold my baby girl in my arms. I am counting every day and night to be with my baby a...nd family. I’m very motivated by the quote ‘tough times don’t last but tough people do’. Although high doses of chemotherapy are making me physically weak, I am mentally strong and have that will and courage to fight against and win over AML (blood cancer). With the help of the Nepalese community and generous people out there, we have raised AUD 107,409.07 through GoFundMe, $5,000 in NRNA Queensland’s account, $2,000 from NRNA emergency relief fund and $7,800 in my personal account. I truly appreciate your thoughtful contribution to save my life. Your support for my treatment is deeply gratifying to me. I would like to thank Umesh Khadka dai along with the NRNA team for starting a campaign for my treatment. Thank you so much NAQ team, Kaski Samaj team, Finance team, Social team, and everyone who helped me financially and emotionally in this tough time. We started this campaign with the aim of raising $350,000 (that is the tentative amount required as per the doctors for BMT) and already raised $120,209.07 in total. I’m undergoing the induction process now and waiting for the 2nd cycle of chemo. If everything goes well, we have a time of almost 2 months for the bone marrow transplant and still need to raise almost $230,000. You already did tremendous help to me and I should not be asking for more, but this is a huge sum of money and I won’t be able to manage it myself. I would like to appeal to all my friends and family, community members, my well-wishers and all people out there to please share this post and contribute to save my life. I really appreciate your help; your effort and contributions can save my life. Please donate using the below-mentioned link. https://www.gofundme.com/f/NRNA-QLD-s-Campaign-to-Help-Arju
16.01.2022 Recently I have understood and learned that happiness is nothing more than good health It is painful and hard to go through any life-threatening health issues. But in front of all these things, trust in yourself can bring victory over anything. So... Believe you can and you are halfway there. Don’t be afraid. Be focused. Be determined. Be hopeful. Be empowered... Please help him, he needs everyone's help and support. Even a cent counts of and can make a big difference in his life. See more
14.01.2022 ’’CANCER MAY HAVE STARTED THE FIGHT, BUT I WILL FINISH IT’’ Today I’m writing to express my thanks to thoughts and prayers which I got while I continue to fight my cancer battle. Bone Marrow Transplant (BMT)only most needed treatment to cure myself from Acute Myeloid Leukemia, aggressive kind of blood cancer. I was desperately waiting for help and response from hospital and health department of Australia to do this procedure at Royal Brisbane Womens hospital. When I was midd...le of nowhere I met some amazing people who helped me to travel to India for BMT. I flew from Sydney International Airport on 25th May, 9:45 am to Delhi, India. At present, I am at BLk hospital, New Delhi, India. I would like to express my gratitude for enormous support from Nepal embassy Canberra, Indian high commission Canberra, Nepal embassy Delhi and NRNA Queensland, Prerna Pawa and Ujwal Poudel to make my journey possible in this pandemic situation. I will never forget those kindest hearts who did tremendous effort to make BMT happen in Australia. Unfortunately it didn't happen, but your attempts are always honorable. I am always thankful to those known and unknown helping hands who did generous donation and emotional support, which has played important part to save my life. Always thankful Arjun Prasad Timilsina
12.01.2022 Hi! I am Arjun, it’s been more than 3months that I am hospitalized at Mater Hospital, South Brisbane. I have completed Induction chemotherapy; blast cells have reduced to 4%. After being on remission state, doctors have started consolidation chemotherapy and recommend me to go for bone marrow transplant (BMT) as soon as possible. Nepalese community groups, friends and family helped me to collect some fund. I had planned to go to India for my BMT, for this I have called my yo...unger brother who is almost 100% match for bone marrow donation, and he is with me now in Australia. Doctors of Mater hospital requested for BMT at Royal Brisbane Women Hospital, but it has been denied by the hospital. Private hospitals are very expensive to afford. Moreover, according to my social worker enquiry to my health insurance revealed that they will not be able to cover expenses for bone marrow transplant procedure. In this pandemic crisis, my options of going overseas for BMT has dried up. Me and my family are in state of shock and devastation due to the leukaemia with added complications of COVID-19 but have not lost hope with this battle against cancer. I am desperately waiting Australian state government, immigration, hospital, community, humanitarian support network, known and unknown helping hands to support me to save my life for my newborn baby and family. Thanking you!
