25.01.2022 Here we have a Hyundai i30. Customer came in for a registration check and we had found the steering to be notchy and clunking. Hyundai i30, Santa-Fe, a range of Kias and a few other models all develop an issue with their steering column bush. the Steering column bush is located on the electric motor, which bolts to the steering column assembly. What's required is removal of the steering column assembly and a strip down of the electric motor to gain access to the bush. As vi...ew in the pictures. You can also see the bush side by side with the new and the old. We did the repair using genuine parts (which seem to be a revised part which should last longer). This repair is essential for the registration check (pink slip) as well as making the car nicer to drive. 18.01.2022 A customer's car kept over heating. We performed a quick check of the cooling system and found that the water pump had let go. It was the oringal water pump on a Holden v6 commodore, which was over 12 years old and had travelled 200 000km+! Fortunately it was a quick fix to get our customer back on the road again!

17.01.2022 A customer asked us to inspect their car before a holiday road trip. They told us the traction control light came on at random intervals and wanted to be sure there was nothing wrong with the car. We discovered that traction control light would flash while flicking the steering wheel as you can see below... The problem was that the tyre pressure was all wrong- we inflated the tyres from 22 psi to the correct 34 psi. Problem solved! If you ever notice anything strange with the lights on your dash of your car in general- please feel free to ask us to check it out! (espcally if you are going on a road trip holiday)

12.01.2022 Customer complained of feeling seasick when driving on bumpy roads. We did a quick bounce check and it was clear there was a slight problem. We repalced the shocks and it was all fixed. One happy customer

11.01.2022 Here we have a Hyundai i30, which came in for a registration check and we had found the steering to be notchy and clunking. You can see what we saw when we revealed the steering column bush- or at least where the bush used to be. We replaced the worn away bush with genuine parts (which seem to be a revised part which should last longer). This repair is essential for the registration check (pink slip) as well as making the car nicer to drive.

11.01.2022 Automotive Repairs and Maintenance are regarded as essential services at this time. Generally keeping a vehicle maintained or serviced or having repairs, when needed, assists its reliability and safety as well as being in a roadworthy condition. If your car is not operational you may have to use public transport or not be able to travel when needed. We have recently been asked are we still open and can customers bring their vehicles down to the workshop. Our understanding is... that we an essential service and to drop the vehicle off and collect; is a reasonable excuse to travel. To that end, we have provided below the latest instruction we have received. If you are an at risk customer because of age or other health reasons, we can (by arrangement) do a pick up and drop off service within around 10kms of the workshop (at no extra charge) with virtually no contact with you other than the collection of the car key We clean the touch points on the car including door handles, steering wheel, handbrake, indicators and operational buttons and switches before and after the repair and maintenance. Thank you for your understanding, For further information visit https://www.health.gov.au/heal/novel-coronavirus-2019-ncov
