21.01.2022 About 5 years ago Annette & myself had a dream to be able to provide homeless families with an alternative that would give them a better quality of life as they started rebuilding their lives. We felt this was what God wanted us to do and have held to that dream for 5 long years, over that time we have imported 2 large US 5th wheels and looked for either a major sponsor or government funding. Unfortunately this has not eventuated. However if God seems to open doors and makes... things happen we believe we need to step through those doors. Several months ago we decided that with or without major support and in light of the devastation from fires on the Sth Coast that the 5th wheels weren't helping anyone sitting in a paddock in Orange. The decision was made to send them to the Sth Coast where they would be of benefit to 2 families. To this end we have been liaising with the Deputy Premiers Dept and Liz Innes the Mayor of the Eurobodalla Shire to make this happen. I have reworked our web page and THIS IS WHERE YOU ALL COME IN it now has a donation page. If we couldn't find a major sponsor then we would turn it over to you the masses, to our friends and family on Facebook. We are asking if you can help us by visiting our web page www.arkrising.org.au where you will find information about the why, the how and what we see as the life changing benefits of what we are trying to do. There is also a gallery page which showcases the 2 5th wheels. If you can all help in some small way to share this post like crazy to all your friends so we get maximum exposure and lets try to have a massive 7 day Facebook fundraising event. Why not get family members together and see if you donate $1000, or get your church or social group together and shoot for the stars with a $5000 donation and if you have a business what about some corporate donation of $10000. We can do it and while things are tough at the moment with Covid 19 imagine loosing everything in a fire 7 months ago and what ever was left or rebuilt got washed away last weekend in floods. I'm putting it out there these 5th wheels are going into service one way or the other and first we need a vehicle set up to move them around so here we go let's see how close we can get to $70000 by this time next week. Crazy yah I know but the inventor of the telephone and the photocopier and the light bulb were all told the same thing. Let's do this and make a couple of families life a whole lot better. I will keep you updated there is also a goal success bar on our website.
