18.01.2022 #NAIDOC2020 Always Was Always Will Be. recognises that First Nations people have occupied and cared for this continent for over 65,000 years. We are spiritually and culturally connected to this country. This country was criss-crossed by generations of brilliant Nations.... Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people were Australia's first explorers, first navigators, first engineers, first farmers, first botanists, first scientists, first diplomats, first astronomers and first artists. Australia has the world's oldest stories. The First Peoples engraved their world's first maps, made the earliest paintings of ceremony and invented unique technologies. We built and engineered structures - structures on Earth - predating well-known sites such as Egyptian Pyramids and Stonehenge. 16.01.2022 Are you ready to hit the Harvest Trail and help our farmers put food on our tables? 19 year old Shannon from Joondalup is helping do just that. From zero farm l...ife exposure to driving a loader, tractors and greasing up machinery five months later, Shannon is building skills she never even considered. Shannon returned earlier this year from a working holiday in the UK but found it difficult to find full-time work in Perth. She didnt have any exposure to agriculture, but her dad suggested she think about going to the country to look for work. She found her first job with a Beverley farmer for six weeks during seeding. Five months later, Shannon is still in the Wheatbelt building her experience in the industry. As job opportunities continue to line up, she has recently rented a house and feels part of the Wheatbelt community. Want your own kids to get some hands-on experience in the industry? Harvest Trail is a government employment agency for the agriculture industry. See whats coming up here in WA and apply online:https://jobsearch.gov.au/harvest See more
