21.01.2022 SPECIAL ARMADALE BBQ AND BOWLS EVENT : SUNDAY NOV 12 INVITATION TO FRIENDS AND RELATIVES... Armadale is hosting a very special BBQ and Bowls event on Sunday Nov 12. It is special because we take our long-term membership very seriously. And this special event does just that. Many people know Armadale as a function venue. So this week we took the opportunity to (call them all) and test their interest in bowls. You may not be aware, but the vast majority of functions host Barmitzvahs, Batmitzvahs, Engagements, 30th, 40th, and 50th birthdays. And what they all have in common - is their age. The result showed outstanding interest. So this BBQ will see a youthful crowd try their hand at bowls. And we will of course show them our special Armadale hospitality. Let’s capitalise on this initiative and make it a massive success and invite your friends, relatives and contacts that you think would enjoy having fun in this company. They are welcome to bring along any friends of theirs. The more the merrier. The only request is that we are aware of the numbers (and any special dietary needs) for catering and bowls assistance to get them started. That’s it. Vegetarian will be available. DETAILS: 12 NOVEMBER: BBQ and BOWLS. From 4 7pm. You will also see a lot of school-children at the Club over the next several weeks. We have taken several schools under our wing to provide coaching and assist their enthusiasm for bowls (as well as their teachers). Both of these programs are building toward our future planning initiative. We are all part of its success. This opportunity of having so many (younger people) enjoy the facilities of our Club is unique. Let’s capitalise on the talent among our own contacts too. Thanks for your support in these events. 11.01.2022 Dear Members, There is a buzz of enthusiasm around the Club, inspired by the great results we are achieving on both Tuesdays and Saturdays. In the past several months we have been very fortunate to have the expert coaching of Terry Cashmore each Thursday until 3.30, and specialised skills sessions and discussions with Rod Huddle.... Both have enhanced our skills and understanding of bowls. We now need to capitalise on this to finish with the best results we can in every Section in March, which is not that far away now. Please continue to access Terry’s valuable knowledge on Thursdays. 1-on-1 time is available from 12.30. On the following two Wednesday evenings Rod Huddle is holding these Special Topics: Wed 22nd 2017 (78:30pm) TEAM PLAY AND GAME PLAN Presentation and Q & A. Wed 29th 2017 (5 6:30pm) TEAM PLAY PRACTICES out on the green. A lot of people are away for the break. For those of us in Melbourne, we are asking all Pennant Players to be there.
