25.01.2022 Today was a hard, devastating day. Bella our Sourhern Hairy Nosed Wombat was laid to rest today. Thank you so much to the team at Champion Lake Vet who made her passing one of peace and comfort. She was 26 years old this year and came to us approx 23 years ago. Bella had done a cruciate on her hind leg also causing inflammation on one of her front legs. She wasn’t going to improve. We are heartbroken but know she is now pain free. Bella we will never find another wombat as cuddly and loving as you. Rest In Peace beautiful girl, you certainly were one of a kind and will be dearly missed. I hope you knew how much you were loved xxxx

18.01.2022 That special day is here. The centre would like to join everyone in wishing the happiest of all possible World Reptile Days to all, and most especially to those over 10, 100 species (and growing with three new species this fortnight alone) of keratin-wearing, ectothermic, resilient, physically and behaviourally remarkable, ecologically vital, charismatic and awe-inspiring scaly sods that maintain the balance of the natural world and make it that much more beautiful in the process. We love you and we love your work!

16.01.2022 Tomorrow is our first SAUSAGE SIZZLE SUNDAY! Freshly cooked hotdogs for only $3! Other snacks, drinks and ice- creams are available to purchase. Lots to see and do! Grab some mates, or the family, bring a picnic rug and enjoy relaxing on our grassed area! We are open from 10-4, with hotdogs available until 3. See you there!!

16.01.2022 The first sausage sizzle was a real success and we are very pleased to announce that we are reiterating the event this Friday 9th of October. Again, all funds will go into the local wildlife conservation/rehabilitation and any donations will be appreciated. Hope to see you there!

16.01.2022 Busy last two days with 2 dugites coming in injured. One caught in netting and the other a dog attack. If you have bird netting around your yard or trees, please check them frequently. If you have a reptile entangled, cut a large amount of netting around the animal, place in a green bin and bring it to us asap. We can then cut it out of the netting. If you can't bring it to us do the above and call us. We will come to you or get another remover to come.
