22.01.2022 We would like to sincerely thank The Smith Family who organised and funded the two day workshop for our students on Exploring Educational Pathways. Students spent one day at Curtin University learning about pathways available to them at university and also engaging in a robotics activity. The second day was spent at the Thornlie Campus of South Metropolitan TAFE where students took part in a tour of the campus, learnt about the pathways and also met with members from industry. We would like to thank everyone who gave up their time and made this happen.

11.01.2022 During this term, the Year 7 students were invited to spend the afternoon bonding with the rest of their cohort through a fun afternoon of water slides and games on the school oval. Lots of fun was had by all, enjoying the huge slip n slide, slam dunk basketball and many other activities. Our school Psych and Chaplain were in charge of the very successful arts and crafts station where students could relax and enjoy the shade. Our Year Coordinator Ms Christopher and her very... helpful group of Student Councillors helped distribute the sausage sizzle at lunch which was wonderfully prepared by our Year 11 Catering students and Home Economics teacher Ms Tilly. Students were entertained by a friendly visit from the Armadale Fire Brigade who answered students questions and explained how the fire truck operated and then leaving the oval with their lights and sirens blazing. The afternoon concluded with a 100 metre sprint. The top 3 girls and top 3 boys raced against Mr Byrnes (PE/Teacher SES) for ultimate bragging rights. Although the Year 7 students were given a head start, Mr Byrnes was faster than they all expected, winning the race. Despite a cloudy start to the day, the weather held up and all students enjoyed their time spent together. A special thanks to all the staff who helped plan and run the day and to our Year 7 students who were so well behaved. See more
