25.01.2022 Today we interview Nathan Jones!! Parkour champion, freerunnner and Police Officer - Nathan trained religiously every day so as to one day get into the world championships. He struggled academically and settled for whatever he could throughout my education but parkour provided me with a focus point. In 2012 he made it into the red bull art of motion in Santorini, Greece. At College - he worked so hard he managed to work hard enough to come out with triple distinction star in ...his BTEC sport which opened up doors for him to go to University. Having spent 3 successful years in university he graduated with a 2:1 bachelor of honours degree in sport. During the time at university he joined West Yorkshire a Police as a Special Constance to dip his toes into a new line of work to see if this was the career for him. Soon enough he found his career. He applied to be a police Constance in two occasions both of which he failed at the final hurdle on interview. So he decided to travel. After travels he knew he was ready to pursue a career in Policing and he managed to land his career with Leicestershire Police on the 30th March 2020.

25.01.2022 Year 12's are at the end of exams and other students are still in the end of school mode with tests and assessments. How can we manage the stress we naturally feel around this time and even the emotions that come with failure or disappointment.

21.01.2022 Back again today at CBC Fremantle to speakto the other half of the Year 8 boys about Resilience. Self Awareness is such a crucial part of learning to be resilient. Being able to ask why we do/ feel/ say what we do is key to being able to change behaviour and habits. This makes a difference if we are making the same mistakes and facing the same problems. 19.01.2022 Big day of travel today - 3 sessions at different organisations!! Started at Warnbro CHS with the Year 7’s on Bullying... Then to Helena College with the Year 10 boys on Sexual Harassment and finally to Belmont at The Base for our second week of the Resilience Program that we are running with students there. Today we discussed Decision Making and the importance of assessing what’s is important to us - because they determine why we choose what we choose. If what is important ...to us isn’t healthy then our choices won’t be either. And we can’t fall into the trap of thinking consequences don’t apply to us. Looking forward to bring back at The Base next week . . . . . . . #armedforlife #resilience #healthychoices #stopbullying #protectivebehaviours
19.01.2022 Loved being back at Swan Valley Anglican Community School today speaking to the Year 9 boys about being a health man. It’s a privilege to continue working with the same schools. Single sessions still have a place but I think it’s continued presence in schools that really makes a difference - and leads to messages like this one. 09.01.2022 R U OK? Day This is marks the first year I get to speak as an official ambassador for RUOK Day! Great morning at Water Corp and ERGT...And then spent the afternoon speaking at Betram Primary School to Year 5’s and 6’s about Resilience ... Connection is important - a big part of why this day exists. Ask someone the question today who seems off - or not themselves. And this is such an important question to ask and one that needs to take place on more than one day a year. It’s also important to asses if we are ok. Just as we are encouraging others to take action so we need to if we are not ok. It’s ok not to be ok - we just don’t wana stay that way. . . . . . . . #armedforlife #ruok #ruokday #resilience #connection
