22.01.2022 The NSW Government is introducing annual permits for non-desexed cats and restricted and dangerous dogs. From 1 July 2020 owners of cats not desexed by four mon...ths of age will be required to pay an $80 annual permit in addition to their one-off lifetime pet registration fee. Annual permits for non-desexed cats will create a stronger incentive to desex cats, which will in turn improve their health and wellbeing, including reducing the risk of some cancers. Improving desexing rates will also lower demand on pounds and shelters, reduce euthanasia rates, and help to address concerns about feral, stray, and roaming cats and their effect on wildlife. If you need assistance in getting your pet cat desexed, please contact AWL NSW on 02 8899 3333 or email [email protected] to see if you are eligible to receive a discount desexing voucher. You can also visit www.ndn.org.au to find subsidised desexing services in your local area. Read more: www.awlnsw.com.au/new-annual-permits

16.01.2022 Armidale and New England Cat Club has just received official confirmation from NSW CFA Management Committee that our 6th Cat Show has been approved. ... 14.01.2022 IMPORTANT COVID-19 UPDATE 2020 SHOWS Your Management Committee has delayed making a final decision about 2020 shows in the hope that some shows could be held ...in the latter part of 2020. However following detailed consideration of the many concerns in particular the ongoing uncertainty of restrictions, the significant difficulties in complying with COVID-19 requirements in a show environment and the attendant risks involved, we have reached the conclusion that it is regrettably not feasible to safely hold any shows in 2020. Accordingly, ALL shows scheduled for this year will be cancelled. This decision was not made lightly and was made with the health and safety of everyone involved in our shows as our major consideration. Please know however, that your Committee is busy working on COVID-19 guidelines to enable our 2021 shows to be held in a way that is both safe and enjoyable for all concerned. Please keep visiting our Facebook and Website pages for updates and look after your selves and each other.
