19.01.2022 After a washed out Round 1, ACUNECC are raring to go after a long break, ready to take plenty of wickets and score runs in the return to Seniors ADCA season. See all the sides below. 1st and 2nd Grade start at 12:45pm, 3rd Grade at 1:15pm

08.01.2022 Match Report 1st Grade Losing the toss and being put in the field on a Hot day started off well for us with James Napper taking 2 early wickets to get us off to a good start with the 3rd wicket falling soon after. That brought Hillgroves Schafer and Bails at the crease which started to make us pay not letting another wick fall up until Drinks. Putting Hillgrove on top.... First delivery after drinks found Bails losing his wicket to a screamer of a catch by Anton which brought Kingey to the crease. Another good partnership puting city back on the back foot. With it looking like a big total ahead Arran was brought on to Bowl to shag Schafer with his second delivery. Arran proceeded to take 3 more quick wicket to reduce Hillgrove too 208. What seemed a tall chase was quickly shortened by some aggrevise batting From Ash (63) and Skins (35) to set the tone . Getting to 100 in 12 overs made the chase seem a lot easier. But with the loss of both openers in quick succession but us at 2/135. Anton (28) and Scully (20) steadied the ship again. A middle order collapse sore city in trouble being 8 down with 14 runs to get. Then Stubbs came to the crease with 11 runs required in two overs Stubbs decided he only needed three deliveries to win the Match with two 4’s and a huge SIX to get the Win for city.

03.01.2022 Ready for Round 3. 1st Grade will be looking to continue some great form after a solid win last week. Watch out for Karl Triebe and Chris Wild to lead from the front with the ball, while Matthew Scully will consolidate the middle order with some power hitting alongside new clubman Anton Preez. Ash Clee will provide some stability opening the batting in the absence wicketkeeper batsman Kyle Taylor, on what seems to be a difficult batting pitch. 2nd Grade will be raring to bo...unce back after a tough day against a talented TAS side last week. Watch out for the West brothers Nilsson and Bassie to lead the way with both bat and ball, Matt Todd to save plenty of runs in the field under the leadership of the ever patient Chris Brennan at the top of the order, who will provide a cool head and iron defence against a quality Guyra attack alongside Matthew Bryant and Peter Lye who are back in the side. EDIT: Simon Butler is in for Pat Gilbey

03.01.2022 Match Report 2nd Grade Rabbit out of the hat win for second grade. Great fighting spirit. We lost the toss and Guyra sent us in on what looked to be a hard flat pitch. Pete and Moses opened up and looked secure until the slow bowlers began to find something in the pitch. But wickets fell almost by surprise and yet we travelled to 4 for 90 with scores from Chris 28 Moses 21. Pete and mark looked solid too - all going well, without being spectacular so far. Then carnage. We los...t 6 for 12. All out with ten overs still in hand and only a tick over 100 runs (work to be done in the nets and the mind, lads!). Bassie and Nilsson opened up with accuracy but without real luck (it was looking a lot like last week!) on comes slow (lessons learned from watching Guyra.) Simon wickets up quickly. At the other end, Shaun keeps it tight, attacks the stumps and Guyra starts to self destruct. Simon ends with six, a great effort - Gaz electric with a couple of tough catches. Skipper manages to hold on to a couple too, Pete with a catch and a cats hand stumping as well. We only drop 2 tough chances. Darcy, Mat and Nilsson chase everything hard. Wickets falling in consecutive over after consecutive over. Shaun ends up with 4 - Herculean effort bowlers and fielders, just need the batters to match up. Guyra all out for 74 and it’s off to the pub. See more
