25.01.2022 The next Choral Society Concert is being conducted by Leanne Roobol and Phil Oxley and features a varied program including some organ accompaniment. Sunday 11th August 3pm.

24.01.2022 In order to reduce the spread of Covid-19 (Coronavirus), it is with great sadness that we announce that the Armidale Eisteddfod for 2020 has been cancelled WITH THE EXCEPTION OF MUSIC COMPOSITION. For those students entered in the Music Composition section, please liaise with your music teachers. Any more information that comes to hand will be posted on our Facebook page.

20.01.2022 Last night we had our AGM and our office bearers are Elizabeth Peach - President / Secretary, John Nevin Treasurer, Phil Spark Ass Treasurer. Natalie Ramazani will again coordinate and organise Adjudicators, Caroline Chapman will help Elizabeth with sponsorship and will be talking the role of publicity officer. We are looking for volunteers for 2020 and also a volunteer coordinator. Send us an inbox if you are interested in volunteering in next year's Eisteddfod.

16.01.2022 Second last rehearsal for Elijah. Coming together and it was great to sing with the Armidale Symphony and soloists. Concert at Lazenby Hall, UNE. 3 pm tomorrow Sunday.

14.01.2022 2019 ARMIDALE EISTEDDFOD GALA CONCERT What an amazing and entertaining afternoon! I thoroughly enjoyed today’s 2019 Armidale Eisteddfod Gala Concert - ...the culmination of this year’s Eisteddfod - showing off our region’s best musical, vocal and dramatic performers. Pound-for-pound you’d be hard-pressed to find a community with more cultural talent than Armidale. I always marvel at the skills displayed by our local youth. Congratulations to all performers from today’s concert, their teachers, tutors and families and the Armidale Eisteddfod Society members, who have done an outstanding job again this year running the Eisteddfod over the last five weeks.

09.01.2022 Happy New Year everyone. As we are all planning our year around this time, now would be an appropriate time to advertise the dates for the 2020 Armidale Eisteddfod. Various committee members have been working hard to firm up dates and Adjudicators. This is still a draft however it will give you some idea when different sections will be occurring.

09.01.2022 Creative New England is building an online space for Creators. Makers. Dreamers. Doers. with a strong focus on the creatives in the New England, however it is open to anyone and everyone who has a tie to UNE or the region. Over the next few months, they will be posting some inspirational and instructional materials and releasing a competition every few weeks - all will be based around getting people to "think outside the box" and perhaps even learn a new skill or two. Creat...ive competitions are open to all songwriting contest coming soon. 03.01.2022 UPDATE regarding the Armidale Eisteddfod cancellation. Two important points - AMTA have decided to extend the deadline for entries to MUSIC COMPOSITION to 5pm Friday 27th March.... ALL ENTRY FEES for all other sections will be refunded as soon as practical via the Paypal system.
