22.01.2022 Here is the program for COMPETITION WEEK 2. This week we are trialling a new sign on system: Sign your child on at the canteen. All that is needed here is athlete name and parent signature. This is for insurance purposes. Also complete your COVID sign-in at this time.... FIELD EVENT REGISTRATION- registration to compete in field events will now be done at each event. Eg. If you wish to compete in triple jump you must go to the triple jump pit and ask the official to register you. Please remember due to time restrictions we have limited number of competitors allowed in each event. If you miss out on your preferred time you will need to wait until the second running of the event. TRACK EVENT REGISTRATION- registration for track events will be done at the finish line. A table will be set up and an official will be there to take registrations. Please try to register for your field events early as possible so heats can be drawn up. Registrations for track events will close 15 minutes prior to scheduled start time. We are hoping that this rego system will place less pressure on both parents and officials. HELP NEEDED We require a number of official volunteers to help at each event station, in particular we are looking for someone to take TRACK EVENT REGISTRATIONS. If you are willing to help and are available from approximately 4pm to man the track event registration/recording desk please inbox us. If we get multiple volunteers we can put you on a roster for this task. Remember we can't go ahead without your help.

10.01.2022 Some great results coming out of Tamworth today. Myarah was first up this morning competing in the 9 girls high jump and coming second on a count back and also beating her PB and earning a spot at the state championships. Halfway through the highjump Myarah left to compete in the u9s 60m hurdles alongside Scarlett. Both girls ran great races and went through into the finals. In the finals Myarah placed first and Scarlett 3rd.... Aiden also ran in the 60m hurdles finishing 6th in his heat and 10th overall. Up next was Connie in the 80m hurdles. despite and early lead Connie ended up finishing a respectable 3rd overall. Back on the field Connie took an the u11 girls long jump and ended up placing 2nd earning herself a spot at the State Championships. Aiden was up next with 2 events left for the day. First he went in discus finishing 7th overall then he ran a great 400m time coming 10th overall and smashing his PB in this event. The next event was 100m and Tianna took to the track in her first meet outside of Armidale. She ran a great race and placed 13th overall (u10s). Myarah got an early lead in the u9 100m and came in 1st whilst Connie put up a great fight to finish 3rd. To round up the day our 4 Junior girls Scarlett (u9s), Myarah (u9s), Tianna (u10s), and Connie (u11s) competed in the Junior girls relay. it was the first relay for 3 of the girls however it didn't show as the all ran wonderfully and finished 3rd. Well done to you all and good luck for tomorrows events.

09.01.2022 Day 2 of state qualifiers saw more success for our athletes. Up first was our 70m sprinters. Scarlett ran a great heat qualifying through to the finals and in the finals ran 3rd.... Tiana also ran a great race missing a spot in the finals by just 0.1 second. That race rounded up her first regional meet and we are very proud of her efforts and sportsmanship. Aiden raced a great 70m heat finishing 5th and just missing out on a spot in the finals. It was great to see Aiden out on the track making the most of the experience and again we are very proud of your results. Next out on the track was our wonderful record-breaker Scarlett with her 700m walk. Once again congrats Scarlett on a great result Out on the field Will Goodare competed in the Long jump in his first event of the meet. He saved his best jump until last with a distance of 2.83 finishing 5th overall. He was soon in the action again running in his 200m heat finishing 5th in his heat and qualifying 8th fastest for the finals before again having to back up in the 800m where he finished 5th overall. Scarlett finished her meet with the long jump and she followed the trend and also saved her best jump until last with a jump of 2.54 finishing 6th overall. The final event of the meet was the 200m finals and we had 3 athletes competing. First Connie took to the track placing 3rd overall. Myarah ran next smashing her PB and finishing 2nd by just 0.13 seconds and making it through to State in all 4 of her events. Finally Will was up in the final race of the meet in his 200m final. Dispite qualifying 8th fastest Will ran a brilliant race in the final to finish 5rh overall. Once again congrats to our wonderful athletes. We would also like to shoutout to all amazing parents, family members and friends who came along to support. It was a great weekend all round.
