23.01.2022 Don't forget our Christmas party and farewell for Anne on Friday evening in Uralla from 7pm. Details have been circulated by email - if you haven't received an email please contact me directly or comment on this post. Regards John Wolfenden.

20.01.2022 The club is now back in full swing with play happening on each of our 4 sessions each week - Monday, Wednesday and Thursday evenings, and Saturday from 10am. We have a Covid19 Safe plan, which among other things means we provide hand sanitiser and make sure tables and equipment are cleaned. Even though the gas heaters were running last night to keep us warm, some still thought a beanie was a good idea!

19.01.2022 Armidale wins the 2019 Border Challenge! After more than 20 years competing in the annual Border Challenge event involving players from Brisbane, Toowoomba, Lismore and Armidale, we have finally been able to claim the perpetual shield. Pictured are the players and support team who all worked together to make this a great event. The facilities we enjoy at Armidale Secondary College were appreciated by all players, and it really made a wonderful venue for hosting this event which about 50 people attended.

19.01.2022 Due to our little friend in the picture, all activities at the Armidale Table Tennis Club have been suspended until further notice. On behalf of the club, I wish everyone is able to stay safe and healthy. John Wolfenden, President.

17.01.2022 Our new venue is up and running at The Den at the new campus for the Armidale Secondary College (former Armidale High School site). We had our first Saturday play there today. I think this is going to be a great temporary venue for our club as we wait for the new sports building to be constructed.

15.01.2022 At this stage, all regular sessions are continuing. I have had no official advice from TT Australia that we should cease activities, but they do recommend that we encourage proper handwashing or use of hand sanitiser, no handshaking, keep at least 1.5m from other players. Do not dry hands by placing them on the table. People should not attend if unwell.... Best wishes to all, John.

13.01.2022 We now have permission from TTNSW (in accordance with NSW Government policy) and Armidale Secondary College to restart play at our club. We will reopen from 10am tomorrow Saturday 20 June. All players must use the provided hand cleaner on entry to the hall. Please DO NOT ATTEND if you are unwell or have been in a location with Covid 19 in the last 14 days. We will be implementing our Covid Safe policy, and a copy of this will be made available at the venue. Please acquaint yourself with its contents. If you would like a copy of this beforehand, please message me with your email address and I will send it to you. John Wolfenden, Club President.

12.01.2022 Our Autumn competition is due to start this Thursday. We still have a few spare spots on teams - if you would like to play, please leave a comment here.

04.01.2022 Competition for 'ye olde mug' (The Waterfall Way Cup) will once again be underway in Coffs Harbour on 15 March. We have a team of 9 players heading down to compete to win it back after the Coffs Harbour Club lifted it from us last time we met. Our squad is Geert, John L, Tara, Brian, Obayed, Jim W, Ann, Mike and Jim R. There are still a couple of spots available as we are meant to have a team of 12 - if you are a member of our club and would like to compete, please just comment here and I will be in touch. Regards to all, John. The pic is of me and Gerard from 2016 - I can't remember now who was presenting the trophy to whom though.

03.01.2022 We are having a Christmas party this Friday from 7pm in Uralla. I have sent an email with further details out to all registered players via our email listserver. If you have not received this email can you please let me know as there might be a problem with you receiving emails this way. You might also check in your spam or junk mail folders as some people report their club emails ending up there. Regards, John Wolfenden.

02.01.2022 That's it! Job's done! Time's up! No more play at Duval High School campus Gym. We are moving to the school's new campus at tho old Armidale High School site. Playing at The Den. More info about when we start as soon as we are organised.

02.01.2022 Message from the Club President - Notice of AGM: I hope everyone is staying well, and not missing table tennis too much. Hopefully we will be back at the club before too much longer. According to the rules for incorporated organisations (like us), we need to hold our AGM before 30 June. We also need to give 4 weeks notice of a meeting.... Accordingly, I advise that we will have our AGM on Thursday 25 June. The venue will be at the club (!). If we can't hold it on that day due to Covid 19 restrictions about meeting, we will need to postpone it to the next available time. Formal agenda for the meeting includes election of committee members (President, Vice President, Secretary and Treasurer and 3 general members), presentation of the financial report and a report from the President. We will also invite general discussion from members present. Best wishes to all, John Wolfenden.
