20.01.2022 Here is a music video for a song called Worldwide Suicide by In Hearts Wake, that we worked on before Covid 19 restrictions came into place. A music video that may be even more poignantly applicable after what we all have been experiencing. Hopefully humanity will address many of the issues that plight us with renewed focus. Some may not agree with the message or elements of it. Likewise the music may or may not be to your taste. Our job is not to judge our clients art but t...o help them deliver their vision. As long as its not to try and spread hate. And with that said, I think their overall vision and message here is trying to be a helpful one. Firearms, gaming system, fire/pyrotechnics, smoke and blood by ARMS AND FX. 19.01.2022 A little video that shows that flash is not the most important part of a firearm being shot that makes it seem realistic in film. Many other aspects are involved: The mechanics and moving parts of the firearm. The mechanics and subtle body movements of the shooter. The shells ejecting and landing or bouncing off other objects and the sound that makes. The smoke and its emittance from various parts of the machine. This is just an automatic rifle but all firearms including m...uskets have most of these attributes. Smoke and mechanical movements are so often over looked in VFX. You never want your audience taken out of the moment because it feels unreal for some reason. Good VFX is very helpful. Hopefully this will assist some for making good VFX of firearms. Im bias of course and love practical effects where and when safe to do so. Please dont hesitate to give Dan a call if you have any questions on the subject. Were here to help.
