12.01.2022 ** COVID-19 & FOOTBALL TRAINING UPDATES ** Thank you to all our members for being very understanding during this difficult time. As Im sure many of you have seen the Victorian Government has released the ability from the 25th of May that groups up to 10 people can train with a maximum of 2 groups per oval at the discretion of the clubs. Today they released that number is increasing to 20 people as of the 31st of May.... These restrictions also mean: - parents must wait in their cars at all times - the club must have COVID-19 certified people on site at all times - training must be non-contact and everyone kept at a min 1.5m apart at all times - training times would be all different as no 2 groups can be starting/finishing at the same time - clubrooms are not allowed to be used - All equipment must be cleaned before and after use - children must sanitise their hands before and after training (plus more) However, we still have no indication on IF there will be a season yet and if there is, what that will look like. Because of these unknowns, we have decided that we do not want to risk any community members and therefore we will continue to postpone training until we have an understanding of what 2020 will look like for Football.

04.01.2022 ** 2020 SEASON ANNOUNCEMENT ** The Armstrong Creek Football Netball Club would like to announce that after discussions with our committee members and after the feedback received from our registered families, we have made the difficult decision to cancel our official 2020 season. As we are only in our second year of development, we do not have a lot of items that we can fall back on as far as uniforms etc and as there has been so much uncertainty on whether a season will go ...ahead we have not been able to obtain these items. This is a decision we have not made lightly, we understand how this decision might impact those who were so excited to play, and we understand how important sport for young children and for the community is, therefore we are proposing putting together a way for the children to play games of football within our club. We are looking at different options such as developing our Auskick program (waiting on confirmation about this program). Auskick is for those 5- 12 years of age, and for the older kids who would normally play at a junior level - 7 years and up, we will run a game for the session if they do not want to do the drills and skill development. This will allow kids to still play a game of football each week. If the Auskick does not go ahead, we will look at running games in our club still for those children. As we learn mre we will let you know. We hope that with the new development of restrictions being lifted as of Monday the 22nd of June, it will give us confirmation on a few more details we are waiting on. Our netball development has too been delayed from this and has meant that we will not be able to do a winter 2020 season. However we will be looking at our options to be involved in a summer competition. For those members already registered and paid please email us for a refund. We look forwards to using this time to develop our club to ensure 2021 is a fantastic year for the Sharks. We appreciate all the support we have received during this uncertain times, and the understanding from families that it has been out of our hands. We look forwards to seeing everyone back this year. Kind Regards, ACFNC Committee

03.01.2022 ** Auskick / Football Announcement ** We are happy to report that Auskick has been given the green-light to return for 2020. The starting date is July 13th and we will run through until September 12th! The sessions will be held at the Armstrong Creek Football Netball Club on a Saturday from 8:30am-9:30am, with our first session being Saturday 18th July. We will adhere to advice around protocols for COVID-19 as supplied by the AFL. For those registering who were players for th...e club, still complete the registrations and throughout each session we will be running a game instead of the skill development course. We understand what our cancellation of the official football season meant for many kids who were looking forwards to playing this year so we are using this opportunity to play football, & build our clubs community ready for 2021. The skill development course will still run for those who want to do the traditional Auskick program. Registrations are now open through the link below (it may say they are not taking registrations, but I believe you should be able to bypass that message through this link). Looking forward to seeing you all soon! https://membership.sportstg.com/regoform.cgi
