24.01.2022 Flexible dieting! My favourite words However, this lifestyle is a commonly miscommunicated topic! So many people out there, even some uneducated trainers.. give/take the advice that as long as you are tracking your calories it doesn’t matter the quality of food you’re eating!? I mean WHAT! Dieters, or people new to dieting. An 80/20 approach or even a 90/10 approach on a daily basis, is how you flexibly diet with the intentions of keeping your body healthy, happy ...and nourished. You should always go for quality! Our bodies thrive off micronutrients, fibre, protein, fats and carbohydrates. Eating a wide range of these foods groups along with a sneaky treat here and there is the appropriate way to flexibly diet in my opinion! 21.01.2022 WHAT IT TAKES TO BUILD THE BODY YOU WANT! consistency, show up and get shit done! sweat and tears (sometimes ) lift heavy weights! ... progressive overload in the gym! eat in a calorie surplus! ahh, and my favourite PATIENCE! My gorgeous client @_jadeebonymorris is the perfect example of this! She was a cardio bunny and did F45 5 days a week now, fast forward to today and jade is lifting weights 5/6 days a week. 14.01.2022 LINEAR WEIGHT LOSS?! Let me tell you, it’s most likely a no from me! Weight loss / weight gain is is NOT linear in most cases! @jade is a perfect example of this! Jade is a Uni student, works a full time job and has a lot on her plate PLUS fitting in training and nutrition on the daily... do you think that jade got from where she was in June 18 to where she is now September 19 with no obstacles that got in our way?? Um noooo! Jade and I have been working hard for a year... and a half now and we are now well and truly on track, after a very long time of trial and error, many obstacles, and many learning curves to do with training and nutrition. We’ve learnt to make it a lifestyle change for jade, not a quick fix.. no sir Jade physically the strongest I’ve ever been, mentally still a work in progress but definitely in a better place than I was in the first picture. 03.01.2022 CLIENT SPOTLIGHT Tiff, aka Booty Junior is a WEAPON, in just 3 months we have gone through a body recomposition, Build carbs from < 100g day, while now creeping up to 300g a day and 2000+ calories we have now just entered a proper building phase! What I mean by ‘proper’ is for a few months we spent a lot of time working on muscle imbalances, healthy relationships with food, and finding a routine that was going to be sustainable long term! CLIENT TESTIMONIAL: I started... with Arna 3 months ago now and since then she’s changed my life! Previously suffering from an unhealthy relationship with food I was eating inconsistently and minimal (900kcal/day). Through educating me thoroughly about nutrition she has not only transformed my relationship with food but allowed me to understand how important balanced nutrition is for athletic performance! 01.01.2022 12 week weight loss phase complete for @beccc_x Bec has trusted me every step along the way and put in the work day in day out, discipline is her middle name this weight loss was ALL achieved in isolation and minimal resistance exercise was done besides daily steps. We focused hard on learning about nutrition and Bec executed everything I taught her very well, leaving no stone unturned! Put in the work and you will reach your desired outcome! 01.01.2022 REFEEDS! My gorgeous client and friend @jaadeey has officially started her competition prep this week for April 2020! The weeks leading up to prep Jade has been in a deficit aiming to loose the last few kg before we were in a fantastic spot to start prepping! Now, the effects of a single refeed on jade (520calories extra) put her roughly 1.5kg down on the scales again the next day! And, going off visuals I’d say the refeed did her well! ... Time to start building calories up for the next 7 weeks and then the real hustle starts!! Let’s get peeled my girl! NOTE: I give refeeds to my clients off how I feel they are personally travelling while in a calorie deficit for a prolonged period of time! It is not just a random increase of calories! See more
