13.01.2022 Dear Members The world has changed dramatically over the last couple of months and on a daily basis over the last few weeks. Future Events The Victorian AROCA Committee has made the difficult but responsible decision to cancel/postpone all social events until further notice.... The strong commitment of the Committee is to ensure the safety of all our members. Any future events will require careful consideration as the situation with COVID-19 evolves and eventually passes. Considering the worsening COVID-19 crisis and conforming to the government’s direction to halt non-essential activities and unnecessary gatherings, AROCA Motorsport events have been cancelled for the foreseeable period of time. Such that, Winton on April 19 and Sandown on May 9 sprints will not be happening. The situation will be assessed as COVID-19 develops and AROCA will notify all via various social media formats and email to participants. So stay tuned and stay safe. Thank you for your support and understanding. And remember social distancing, and especially on the race track once we are back on track. Remember to stay in touch via our Facebook page: https://www.facebook.com/arocavic.motorsport We ask you please to support this decision and we will keep you posted on any changes to our approach to dealing with this difficult situation. Mandy Thompson President AROCA (Vic)

07.01.2022 Philip Island Parade Laps 8th December 2019 In celebration of the 50th Anniversary of AROCA Vic, we will be organizing a parade lap session finishing with a stop on the Front Straight for a mass team/club photo. We plan to do 2 - 3 laps of the Phillip Island G.P circuit behind a Pace Car. ... Parade Lap cars will be broken into two run groups - Alfas and non-Alfas. These two groups will be separated by around half a lap. A Pace Car will head the Parade Lap groups and Official photography has been arranged and will be conducted from the gantry above the track. Please do no be late for this very rare opportunity. Non-attendance to the drivers briefing or lack of an armband will prevent you from being involved. A briefing for those wishing to carry out Parade Laps will be held at the base of the Control Tower around 11:30am. You will likely need to be at the Phillip Island track by 11:00am to hear the announcements regarding attending drivers briefing. Indemnity forms must be signed by ALL vehicle occupants. At the completion of the Parade Lap Drivers Briefing, attendees will be issued with wrist bands. These wrist bands must be worn and displayed to the Grid Marshall / Gate Marshall for admittance to the track. As always, the running of Parade Laps will be at the sole discretion of the event Clerk of Course. Inclement weather, late running, on-track incidents or other delays would likely cause Parade Laps to be cancelled. To register your interest for this event contact Colin Edwards: email: [email protected]
