24.01.2022 What a beautiful view on Monday for the start of our 2021 horticulture course at Carrick Hill ARO Educational Services AHC30716 Certificate III in Horticulture and dual qualification AHC30716 Certificate III in Horticulture & AHC30916 Certificate III in Landscape Construction both commenced on Monday. Both classes are delivered over an 18 month period and will allow our students to gain all the skills and knowledge to become qualified in the Horticulture or Landscape indus...try. Working alongside ARO Educational Services expectational trainers the students will complete practical projects that will be on display at Carrick Hill and Woodhouse Activity Centre for visitors to see.

CITB (Construction Industry Training Board) is a whole-of-industry led organisation that provides support to attract, train and retain South Australian building and construction workers by providing leadership in training and skills development. This includes landscape construction. CITB:... * Provides access to subsidised training for apprentices their employers and workers in the industry. * Promotes and supports careers in construction. * Advises the SA Government on industry training. * Supports training innovation research and planning. 15.01.2022 ARO Educational Services point of difference What makes ARO different from other RTO’s? ARO Educational Services strive to make a point of difference with our training needs.... We deliver onsite training and assessment to employers and students and provide them with the most up to date training and assessment. By training students and employers onsite they are able to get a realistic hands on experience whilst training with us. Training onsite allows us to provide the skills and knowledge required for their specific industry needs. We are able to use current jobs that that the students and employers are working on and relate it back to our theory based assessments. We believe by training students onsite they are getting a full hands on experience with our industry relevant trainers without having to remove them from their worksite. We find that students work best when they are able to relate the hands on experience that they are getting at work back to the theory based assessments they are learning with our trainers. We use herbicide, brushcutters for fire mitigation works and hand tools such as axes, secateurs, loppers etc.... 07.01.2022 Onsite training Have you checked out of video for a sneak peek into our onsite training? ARO Educational Services receive questions each week in regards to what our onsite training looks like and what it includes.... So we thought we would capture some videos with @bydorky to show each of you what we do! Our trainer Scott Findlay was out on site with @ahlg_adelaide training some of our new students in Horticulture. Our trainers visit their students at their place of work through scheduled visits. They come out onsite, whether it is at your workplace yard or out on a current job you are working on. Our onsite training includes: theory based assessments trainers going through workbooks with the students practical observations practical assessments employer/ supervisor discussions Our trainers visit each student on a monthly basis and work along side the students supervisor to include units that are relevant to the jobs they do. We follow a team effort approach to deliver our training. ARO Education take pride in the quality training that we deliver to each of our students and employers. 05.01.2022 Meet the trainer Tony O’Rielly is one of ARO Educational Service’s newest trainers. However Tony has been training for other RTO’s for the past 23 years. Tony has been involved within the Landscape and Construction industry for over 30 years. As the owner and sole trader of his own business in Landscape and Construction for over 25 years, Tony has held multiple licenses and continually kept up to date with industry standards. ... Over the years Tony has had the opportunity to train people who were either his own employees or part of Horticulture and Construction programs. Tony has been a senior trainer in a large RTO’s and has used their guidance to enable him to be a responsive industry standard lecturer. Tony will be training various qualifications for ARO which includes: Horticulture Landscape Construction Sports Turf Tony continues to develop his skills through: Networking with industry contacts Undertaking study Attending professional development opportunities ARO Educational Services are looking forward to having Tony onboard training some of our trainees for them to gain all the skills and knowledge required to gain their qualifications. Tony will be an extremely valuable asset to the ARO team.

02.01.2022 2021 classes The final enrolments are now being processed for our two classes starting in February 2021.
