14.01.2022 Want to make your home smell beautifully festive? Keep the kids entertained as the school holidays begin and you still have a zillion things to get done. Give these easy SALT DOUGH ORNAMENTS a go.... Add them to your Christmas tree, make a garland to hang or add to Christmas gifts as a present tag. Here’s how: Ingredients: 65g fine salt* 65g plain flour 50g water 5-10 drops doTERRA essential oil (or blend) of choice Pre heat oven to 100 degrees Celsius Mix all ingredients together in a bowl and knead into a dough. Sprinkle the bench top with some extra flour & roll out the dough to approx 5-10mm thickness. Use a cookie cutter of choice to make the shape Continue to roll dough & cut shapes until you have used up all the dough use a straw to make the hole so you can add ribbon to hang the ornament place ornaments on baking tray lined with baking paper Place in oven for 45mins, then flip & bake for another 45mins Allow to cool when ready, add to your tree, garland or gifts with a couple of drops of your favourite Christmas essential oil (try Holiday Joy, Holiday Peace, Wild Orange or OnGuard). Makes approx 8 - 16 ornaments, depending on size of cookie cutter used. * I used McKenzie’s fine pink Himalayan salt which gives the ornaments a light pink colour
