21.01.2022 The bushfire crisis gripping Australia is horrific beyond words. It has been a stark reminder for us that as much as we've tried to do over the last few years to reduce our impact on the environment, it's not enough. We took the Take2 pledge in 2018, it's open to all individuals and businesses in Victoria. We encourage everyone to take a look, take the pledge and get ideas for how you can reduce your environmental footprint. It's a work in progress and under constant review.... The climate emergency we're currently feeling the effects of prompted us to take a much closer look at what we were doing - actually, more at what we were not doing. So, in January, we started purchasing 100% Green Power, compared to the previous efforts of first purchasing power from a company that offset the emissions from all power purchased, then offsetting all other operational emissions through the purchase of carbon credits. 21.01.2022 We've had the joy of working with Deb of Developing Excellence in Business quite closely for the last few weeks as we freshened up her website. 17.01.2022 Social Media feels like a bit of a struggle for us on a regular basis. It's completely necessary to drive traffic to your site and maintain an ongoing relationship with potential clients, but it's hard work and if you're like us and are a small team or flying solo, it takes your time away from doing actual work. We're really grateful to FlipSwitch Media for creating this nifty Content Planner. In just 40 minutes we had an entire month's worth of posting ideas outlined. 17.01.2022 Today marks the first birthday* of our wonderful Office Manager, Bella. Bella the fake beagle has brought us more work, love, laughter and destruction than we thought possible. She's a joy to share our office with each day and makes us incredibly glad to call home our workplace. We wish her a very happy birthday, but it will be marred slightly by the fact that she's on an exclusion diet and isn't allowed to eat anything remotely interesting. ... * There's no real way to know the correct date as she's a rescue pup, so we have chosen to go with the date estimated for her microchip registration.

09.01.2022 When visiting @EyegalleryHighton for our 2020 planning session last week, we couldn't help but get excited about their Summer Sunglasses Sale at their Geelong store. Our last pairs of glasses came from Eye Gallery, and we couldn't have been more impressed by the glasses or the in-store experience. One of our favourite touches is the unlimited free refills of cleaning solution when you buy one of their small spray bottles. When you consider how often we have to clean our glasses, the reduction in packaging waste makes a big impact on our carbon footprint!

Working with Liz and Ainslie on the process, and uncovering the possibilities for strengthening meaningful employment opportunities for people in the G21 region has been enlightening.
