25.01.2022 Term 3 Week 6 We have gone past the mid term in a lockdown - Hooray! It is such a special term! Piano lesson has been conducted on a virtual platform with live teaching due to COVID-19 situation in our region since Term 3 Week 1. No more in-person lesson for now, but this does not drench our musical spirit.... We use this period of lockdown to master the art of discipline and resilience. We are more independent in our learning and have been trained on attaining attentive-to-detail more successfully than ever! We have achieved a consistent practice routine for ourselves. These strategies have made us learn more effectively than ever! We enjoy music more because we have been practising so well! As the saying goes, there is always a silver lining in every dark cloud The challenges will only make us stronger and better Starting from this week until the end of term, we shall take a peep on what our students have learnt and achieved during this period of lockdown. 21.01.2022 In this celebrating video, Mr. O played one of his Grade 2 exam pieces during his home practice (courtesy of Mr. O's mum). Mr. O received the Best Practice Award at our most recent students' recital, Piano Party 2021, held on 19 June 2021. 18.01.2022 Term 3 Week 10 14 Sep 2021 Lockdown Achievement @ Arpeggio Music Studio The ninth celebration video of our NSW Lockdown Piano Achievement series, we welcome our 9 year old, Alyssa! ... In this video, Alyssa performed one of her examination pieces, "Gayement", composed by Georg Philipp Telemann. Alyssa loves the gavotte style of this piece and has chosen it as her favourite to share with us! With the arrival of Spring at our doorstep, we celebrate another amazing achievement during the lockdown with our students' music video. This time, we have 9-year-old Nicole who is preparing for her Grade 1 and on her way to sit for her first music exam by the end of the year! In this video, Nicole performed her exam piece "Barcarolle" composed by Lionel Salter. Nicole started learning the piano and music theory with us since she was 6 years old.
