Arrabri Ski Club has 6 Large Family Rooms (4 Double or Queen Beds in each room, plus private ensuite including shower) and Private Managers Flat (Queen Bed, ample storage, separate private ensuite and office space). We are seeking a person or couple to manage our lodge for the 2021 winter season and are now seeking quality applications. Responsibilities include- friendly and helpful person/s who are able to direct and manage guest stays, cleaning general areas on a daily basis outside of what’s required by guests and members, greeting and welcoming members and guests including on key change over days- taking them through the lodge and explaining light daily duties and lodge facilities, ensuring family rooms have been cleaned and to a satisfactory level for guest/member arrival, communication with our bookings officer and committee members for matters that may arise throughout the season. Required skills - Hospitality background preferable, minimum 2 years working in an alpine environment, friendly, caring and welcoming nature and be familiar with managing and ordering supplies for the lodge including breakfast provisions, daily fresh milk and bread. Police Check and Working with Children Check also required for this role given our family friendly focus. Arrabri Ski Club is a self-catering lodge and there is no meal cooking required for guests or members. Remuneration includes private managers flat with ensuite, fast free Wi-Fi, free Netflix, level 2 first aid certificate, financial renumeration and basic groceries including breakfast provisions, all condiments, milk and bread. 16.01.2022 Cattlemen 100 MTB -OMEO- . Here in Omeo we are getting on with things as life returns to normal. We would like you to come to Australia’s first internationally heralded bike event of 2020, the Cattlemen 100 MTB. 2020 is the inaugural event during which elite mountain bike riders have to complete a course over largely gravel roads in the Omeo Region covering 100 miles within 12 hours. Already international TV, local WIN TV, ABC and press coverage has been given.... We invite you to attend to see the first riders cross the finish line from around 2.30pm on Saturday 28th November in Omeo’s Livingstone Park, food stalls and some special entertainment will be there. Giving a wonderful vibe in the mountains under the late spring sun. After the 7am start the cut-off is at 7pm. Prizes for the winners will be given at around 7.10pm in Livingstone Park. It would be great if Councillors able to attend could assist with making presentation to the winners. The organizers of the event, Alps Links Community Development Association Inc we know are grateful for the EGSC assistance with a RADES Grant. Overall the event which would normally take a year to set-up has been done with terrific co-operation from all, within just a matter of months.
