25.01.2022 Members: The range will be open on Tuesday (20/10) between 10 and 12:30.

21.01.2022 Members: In just over two weeks (5th and 6th Dec) the State Target Championships will be held in Burnie and registration closes on the 30th of November. It's usually a bit of fun and it would be good for us to have two representatives at the AST AGM on the Saturday night for the purpose of some constitution changes. https://eventdesq.sportstg.com/index.cfm Also, if people are available on Sunday 29th we'll be holding a working bee. The aim will be to clear the brush around t...he targest and clear some of the blackberries. Ideally, we would also like to empty some of the trash/junk from the container and strip a target. There will need to be further discussions about building some more targets because we believe summer is going to get pretty busy. Lastly, we're on the look out for a responsible member who is consistently available to open the range (as a range captain) for members on an afternoon/evening during the week.

21.01.2022 This is another public reminder that archery on our grounds is strictly limited to official club activities. At all other times, bow (recurve, compound etc) users are considered to be unlawfully armed in a public place. Use of our targets outside of club activties would also be considered damage to private property. One of the two arrows (branded Champion Bushmaster) pictured was found in a neighbours yard and this matter will have to be reported to the council and the local police.

14.01.2022 For anyone interested in this afternoon's session it looks like Highfield st is accessible again

12.01.2022 Upcoming state events (More information can be found on the AST calendar https://archerytasmania.org.au/events/calendar-of-events/): 17th & 18th Oct - AST Clout Championships (Paringa) 31st Oct & 1st Nov - AST Southern WA (Hobart Archers) 8th Nov - QRE(s) (Hobart Archers and Burnie) not completely confirmed 14 & 15th Nov - Luttrel-Clark Memorial Field Shoot (Burnie)... 28 & 29th Nov - Paringa Northern Championships Lastly, the AST (State) Target Championships will be held in Burnie on the 5th and 6th of December.

12.01.2022 We won't be running a public session this weekend, however, we should be back up and running on the 21st. Members: You may treat this as a normal Saturday and we have enough arrows for those who don't have any.

11.01.2022 Today's session has been cancelled for all but members today due to a security issue. If you don't have your own arrows, we may not be able to accommodate you either.

10.01.2022 This post is mostly for members but may be useful for others too. Firstly, we now have a Teamup calendar which has a range (pun intended) of information on it (link will stay in our About section): https://teamup.com/ksov5ycfhcrfjzdknb This should make it easier for members and people to check if we've got extra sessions or events in the works. I'll also try and keep up with having state events listed on it. But the best place for that would be the AST calendar.... https://teamup.com/ks4c019b706cf51ea0 Secondly, some of you juniors (and seniors) are shooting really well. Congratulations on the hard work! This link shows what distances you should be aiming for based on your age and bow type: https://m.box.com//https%3A%2F%2Farcheryaustralia.box.com% It would be awesome to see some of you at the upcoming tournaments or tournaments in the future. The biggest of those would be the State Championships in Burnie at the beginning of December, however with the distance it is understandable if you cannot make it. Otherwise, there is a tournament in Lauderdale in less than two weeks and a QRE in Lauderdale the week after (hasn't been confirmed yet *It's also looking like a field QRE on the AA website). Have a chat with us and we can talk about recommendations and protocol.

10.01.2022 Members: The range will be open for use on Tuesday morning this week between 10am and 12:30.

10.01.2022 Members: We'll have an extra shooting day on Thursday this week. I'll be there from 3:30 to 5:30, however, if we have others there they may be able to lock up later than this. This will also become a book-able public come'n'try session once the weather starts clearing up. Due to a lack of numbers, the BacktoArchery rounds we'll be holding will remain unofficial. There's an extra one this Sunday from around 10. But it would be useful to sign up on Archers Diary (this should be... available later in the day). This has been added to the calendar linked in our About Section. Just another reminder that there are events coming up (about four in total for the rest of the year) and it's easier for organisers the earlier you sign up. The events can be found here: https://teamup.com/ks4c019b706cf51ea0 Registration links are found by clicking the event name. Happy shooting, Josh

09.01.2022 Members: There'll be an extra session on Tuesday morning between 10 and 12:30.

08.01.2022 Just a reminder for anyone interested, there's a tournament on this weekend at Hobart Archers (lauderdale). Event registration is below and Josh will be competing on the Sunday. https://eventdesq.sportstg.com/index.cfm

05.01.2022 Members: There will be a working bee on Sunday (18/10) to put together a target butt and possbily clear some of the blackberry bushes. We'll start at 10am and see how we go from there.
