21.01.2022 The Armenian Relief Society Sosseh Chapter had started a collection before Covid-19 restrictions, for a local women's refuge called Mary's House. This organisation provides residential accommodation and professional services to support women and children escaping domestic violence. Unfortunately the house is full at the moment but today, we lent our support by handing over our collection of personal care items to one of their hard working volunteers. We wish all the women and their families peace and good health.

13.01.2022 COMMUNITY APPEAL: Armenian-Australians Invited to Donate and Help #CombatCovid in Armenia This BBC Report shows the dire healthcare situation eventuating in the... Motherland. The Armenian-Australian community's "Combat Covid in Armenia" Facebook fundraising campaign will directly help ease the burden on Armenia's healthcare system. We launched this campaign a week ago, after contacting Armenia's Ministry of Foreign Affairs, who obtained a list of critical medical equipment and supplies being sought from the Ministry of Health. The list includes patient monitors, thermometers, centrifuges, oxygen concentrators, pulse oximeters and more. We are thankful for the joint initiative by the Armenian National Committee of Australia, Armenian Relief Society Australia, Homenetmen Australia Scouting and Sporting Association, Hamazkaine Armenian Educational & Cultural Society, AUSTRALIA, @Armenian Resource Centre of Australia, Armenian Youth Federation / AYF Australia and Armenia Media - Armenian News from Australia in leading Armenian-Australians on this Facebook fundraising drive, which will raise as much as possible until 9 July 2020. Sadly, the explosion was in close proximity to heavily Armenian-populated towns, including Bourj Hammoud, Khalil Badawi, Hadjin, Mar Mikhael, Achrafieh, Antelias and Beirut, resulting so far in a count of 11 community deaths and over 250 injuries. 07.01.2022 The ARS Regional Board of Australia will be holding a candlelight memorial in honour of our fallen soldiers at the Armenian Cultural Centre Willoughby on 21st November, 2020. This will be followed by a special programme and Harissa will be available for takeaway. The event will start at 6pm.
