Take a look if you are aiming to progress your HR career. 16.01.2022 I am really fortunate to be getting some fabulous recruitment work at the moment! The downside of recruitment work is having to let people know they haven't been successful in getting a job. With very large numbers of people applying for jobs this makes it even harder due to the amazing quality of applications coming through. So many well qualified, experienced and intelligent people in the job market and I wish there were jobs enough for everyone. This morning I sent "u...nsuccessful" emails to quite a large number of people and I got this lovely feedback on my style of notifying people they weren't successful: "This is one of the best rejection notifications I have ever received. You explained why the applications were rejected in your email thus eliminating the need for individual feedback and us writing to you first. Very efficient and kind!" Pays to be kind and put the extra effort in - always room for dignity and grace in our work!
