I ADMIRE YOU BECAUSE...... ... This artwork was created for The Mater Theaters Staff. It hangs in their lunch room. The Mater Theaters staff- are the doctors, nurses, managers, admin, cleaning staff who work in the Operating Theatres of the Mater Hospital. @annettegallogly wanted to create a piece for the space to bring a bit of joy and positive energy and asked if I would do a piece similar in concept to my Whisper exhibition. This is what we came up with... ‘Think of you’re favourite colleague and finish the sentence - I Admire You because.....’ So - this is an artwork created in response to answers to that question. Many many of the sentiments are legible. @shannon_obryan thanks for allowing me to paint for your staff. Hoping this artwork brings many moments of joy and uplift as well as a subtle reminder to sink in and see the greatness in oneself... because if you admire something in someone else chances are it’s in you too.
