10.01.2022 Hol@migos is with pleasure to introduce you our Tenor Jose Jairo Villarreal Diaz - He began his life in singing from the age of 8 being part of the Catholic ch...oir of his church in the city of Bucaramanga. When he entered the Industrial University of Santander in 2009 to the Chemistry program, he also entered the UIS University Choir of which he was a part for 7 years (5 as a student and 2 as a graduate) in the Tenor String. During his 7 years in the UIS choir, Jose had the opportunity to participate in international choral competitions in the cities of Torrevieja (Spain), Venice (Italy) and Busan (South Korea) in which the group always received awards in the different categories. Among other musical activities, Jose participated with the UIS choir in choral symphonic assemblies with the Symphonic Orchestra of the Autonomous University of Bucaramanga, the Philharmonic Orchestra of Bogotá and the Symphony Orchestra of the School of Administration, Finance and EAFIT Technological Institute, interpreting works such as the Requiem by the composer Gabriel Fauré, the Symphony of Psalms by the composer Igor Stravinsky, the Miserere by the composer Jan Dismas Zelenka and as a tenor soloist in the Magnificat by the composer Antonio Vivaldi in March 2015, among others. In his active period with the UIS choir, Jose also received classes and workshops on vocal technique and musical interpretation from important teachers such as Danilo Grimoldi (Argentina), Lissandro Loor (Ecuador), Nicole Corti (France), Mark Anthony Carpio (Philippines), Cecilia Espinosa (Colombia), Maria Teresa Guillén (Colombia) and Juan Manuel Hernández-Morales (Colombia). Since 2016 when he arrived in Melbourne, Jose has been part of LaTUCS (La Trobe University Choral Society) and currently sings in the Colombian choir of the Santa Brígida church.
