I started painting it the week my sister was diagnosed with cancer. Too many of us know that guttural and raw emotion that comes from that place of fear caused by cancer. It infiltrates our mind, our spirit while it takes hold of the bodies of our loved ones. I would lay awake at night after h...earing the news. I’d listen to @stephenfryactually narrate the story of the lavender fields just to help me sleep. His voice and his story filled my thoughts and dreams with beauty instead of sadness.
