Australian Standards AS 5041 - Methods of Test - Security Screen Doors and Window Grilles. This test is conducted by an accredited Laboratory. The screen and infill type will determine the applicable tests required from the following list: Dynamic Impact Test Jemmy Test Pull or Probe Test Shear Test Knife Shear Test Corrosion Test Now, a barrier door may look like a security door, but it has NOT been tested to meet the Australian Standards, and therefore unknown as to whether it would withstand a break in. So, the mass produced ones you find at a hardware store are likely to be a barrier door. 02.01.2022 Many areas of the north shore are zoned bushfire prone land. Do you know your zoning? If not, you can check below. If you are in a bushfire prone zone, council requires you to have openable windows screened with corrosion-resistant steel, bronze or aluminium mesh with an opening of less than 2 mm x 2 mm (AS 3959-2009). The fire attenuation test (FS 4302/3572) shows the reduction in radiant heat flux level provided by the screen. We have a number of products through Prowler Proof that meet these regulations.
