23.01.2022 Our dear friend, Trish Ahmer, has had this devastating blow to her small business. Wildwood Art & Crafts is the distributor for Decoart paints and products as well as a lot of other craft supplies. They have an online store (go to their Facebook page and go to the website to purchase) so if we could all get on board and buy some craft goodies, artists paintbrushes or gorgeous paints and multi media supplies then it would help this small South Australian business meet the gap between the insurance pay out and the real cost of repairs.
23.01.2022 If you run out of things to paint on, during this time, you could always resort to this! Beautiful work though!
23.01.2022 I made these gorgeous paper flowers for a very special celebration in our school staff room. Have a guess what they were for...
22.01.2022 Really enjoying a family session with #SBSlifedrawinglive Unfortunately ran out of puff before doing tone! It’s on SBS at 7:30 on a Saturday evening. We missed it and tried to do it tonight without having access to good images of the model. We will definitely tune in next week! These were done on my iPad in the Sketches Pro App using an Apple Pencil on the charcoal setting.

18.01.2022 Fun to come in June! The Great Australian Craft Show has been developed to meet the needs of the crafting community during a time when physical shows are impossible.

14.01.2022 Not the usual Studio post but I just want to get the word out there. If you have children, who use this app, then please ask them to stay off it today. Also follow Susan McLean’s page as she is great at keeping us aware of what cyber risks are out there for our children.
11.01.2022 Meet my good friend Trish as she shows us around her lovely store at Woodside. An art and craft heaven! Trish is the Australian distributor for Decoart products and, if you cannot get to Woodside, has a website through which you can purchase all the art stuff your heart desires.
10.01.2022 I had some before-work-at-home fun this morning. This was a lovely, short, watercolour workshop with another artist where I had to be messy . Thank you very much #sillierthansally for a lovely start to my day. If you would like to try this then just go to her Facebook page and the video is right there in the videos. There is a post about what you will need to have a go at this although you can ‘make do’ if you have to! The first picture is the completed product and the second is before any pen marks or white pencil were added (that’s for my art students just to remind them of the importance of stuttering line work).
10.01.2022 Fingers crossed that we can resume classes next term. We are fortunate that the studio is quite large so social distancing is possible for four students. My teaching style may have to change a little to accomodate social distancing but I have taught large workshops in the past so it won’t be difficult. I will ask that people don’t come to classes if they are unwell, classes won’t happen if I am unwell, and we will be as safe as we can. Hand sanitiser and wipes will be avai...lable to ensure that we are as clean as possible. There will be a one hour break between any two groups of students, with surface cleaning happening between classes, as another way to minimise risk. Now for the fun stuff... What I have been making and creating during the Covid time! See more
10.01.2022 Would you, or someone you love, wear this cute hair tie? These are very easy to make from scraps of fabric. If you would like to come and make some with me, here are the details: Time: open to negotiation but we need a two hour block.... Place: here at Little Glory Studio. Who: adult or child over 10 years (unless experienced at cutting) with a will to have a go. Some sewing machine experience helpful but not essential. Supplied: access to studio sewing machines, scissors, threads, tools, hair elastics and a wide range of scrap fabrics. You get a pattern to keep. Cost: $20 per person. Maximum of two students at any one time. COVID precautions include hand sanitiser as you go. See more
10.01.2022 Creativity takes many forms and has many outlets. This nappy cake was a collaborative effort as I was unable to shop for the ingredients; my husband sourced most of them with his terrific eye for colour. If you would like a one-on-one lesson in how to put one of these together (firmly anchored so that it can be transported) then please pm me.
08.01.2022 This week feels a little crazy so it must be term three at school! I am going to resume regular classes from next Monday, July 27th, and will be adding a few short workshops, for adults, later. I will contact regular students but if you are interested in classes please pm me. Obviously all of this depends on SA continuing to stay safe, well and COVID Free. ... Probably a good time to learn how to sew a mask.

02.01.2022 It is with great sadness that I announce the temporary suspension of classes. We all need to stay safe so the studio will be closed to visitors and students until the COVID19 crisis has passed.
02.01.2022 I’ve been a little quiet lately because I have been helping out with my new grandson. Due to to Covid19 crisis it was impossible for a newborn photo shoot to happen. A bit of research, the iPad Pro and some time spent in Adobe LightRoom has given me a chance to try my hand at something new. For something old; I made the gum leaf pouch and hat for him to wear. Introducing Albert; the latest gum leaf baby.
01.01.2022 The lengths you go to when water enters your studio! Thank goodness for milk bottle lids and clothes pegs for those items without feet of their own. Heater is on, fan is going and drying out has begun.
