21.01.2022 FRAMEWORKS - March 2019 Frameworks by Artist Alan Cotton is an investigation into linear boundaries and spatial design using repurposed found objects. I am a Visual Artist interested in the use of symbolic imagery and ideas to represent social and environmental awareness using the combination of photography, sculpture and painting. My inspiration comes from found objects with diverse surface textures with which I like to experiment, repurpose and paint on. I have an interest in the linear foundations of architecture, texture and how light illuminates these elements. #yarrasculpturegallery

21.01.2022 Experimenting & Developing the ideas for Tick Tock Drip Drop - Outside In 2018 Yarra Sculpture Gallery & Domino Effect - Frameworks 2019 Yarra Sculpture Gallery... Tick Tock Drip Drop - Short film, 12:17 minute. https://www.youtube.com/watch In this most recent experimental film Tick Tock Drip Drop I used tactile visual mediums, light and the moving digital image. The purpose of this project is to encourage dialogue about nature, waste, pollution, sustainability, design, uniqueness and usefulness. To inspire veiwers to reflect upon their own perceptions, memories, values and position regarding the current critical environmental circumstances and issues we face, in particular the fertility of our oceans, seas and riverbeds.
