18.01.2022 Here’s the final result of the wall representing the wood carving art really traditional in Brazil’s Northeast area, called Xilogravura. Inspired by J Borges I interpreted this style with lots of Forró moves and the unmistakable good vibe from the people from that area, and from our entire . 06.01.2022 Connection & Meditation. This weekend was the last session of a series of 4 that I facilitated through @wearelifeandsoulaus , as a voluntary project to give emotional support during these difficult times. I simply loved the experience and having so many virtual connections with everyone that invested their time to practice a bit of meditation while drawing. I can’t thank enough everyone who joined! It was amazing and I hope you all enjoyed as well! Thank you for contributing ...and sharing! This practice has been helping me a lot and I hope it helped you as well somehow And thank you Life & Soul and @msutilo for including me on this beautiful project and organising all the behind the scenes! I’ve been missing from here while working on some side projects, but in the meanwhile I was able to do this very special job for a couple dear do my have you ever heard of woodcut printing? In Brazil it’s called Xilogravura and it is a really traditional technique from the Northeast area. I am particularly passionate about it, specially because I tried doing the proper technique once, and it was SO fiddlly and hard to get to a good result This wall was spec...ial because it not only represent this technique that I admire so much and tried to reproduce through painting, but also because it represents Forró a typical style of music and dance that is also very traditional and that I love with all my heart. E pronta pra compartilhar esse projeto que fiz pra um casal que mora no meu Vocês já ouviram falar Xilogravura? É uma tecnica muito usada pra representar os cordeis do Nordeste. Eu já tentei fazer a Xilogravura tradicional por aqui em madeira, e fiquei maravilhada pelo quao dificil era chegar em um resultado bom com movimentos e ferramentas tão simples (vejam a segunda foto ).
