24.01.2022 G House - by Artek Building Design Almost nearing completion with only final fit off of some electrical, plumbing and install of air-conditioning in some areas. The warmth within this house is coming through with final clear polyurethane setting off the Black Butt timber flooring. Chosen neutral palettes have been applied to the cabinetwork with ESSA Stone bench tops adding complementary rawness. ... Downpipes too have been installed adding a clean sharp line to them licked up with silver paint to give a galvanized look. Polycarbonate has finished of the internal/external lining to the stairwell, can't wait to view this at night as it will express the human nature activity of the house at night, almost like watching a ant colony at work! 22.01.2022 Bedarra Bungalows at Wheatleys Creek Mission Beach - by Artek Building Design Exterior cladding of the bedroom modules is almost complete with the installation of the raw hardwood timber battens over the charcoal painted flat cement sheet. The main building roof is almost complete with yet to be installed roof cladding over the linking walkway and main entrance structures. Off grid Solar panels amass on the North and East faces of the main roof to supply clean power to the whole complex.

21.01.2022 Bedarra Bungalows - by Artek Building Design Decking is going down to show off the huge extents of outside living space, this will even run into the toilet areas within the main building to emphasize the casual beach house nature of staying onsite. Extensive openings from within the house leading onto the front verandah space are yet to be infilled with huge sliding doors. These doors are integrated with operable louvre windows either side of the sliding door panels allowing ...maximum airflow and flexibility of controlling the breezes through the building according to climatic conditions. Proximity of the development to the beach front is close, while still retaining the natural vegetation buffer between both. The buildings come into close contact with the heavy retention of existing trees in and around the site, giving a terrific complementary contrast to the buildings and appreciation of the environ for its owners. Further planting out of the surrounds with natural landscaping within the site and access track from Wheatley Road will be carried out in due course.

10.01.2022 Bedarra Bungalows by Artek Building Design Nearing completion of the main building battened out wall cladding is installed and suitably painted. Although much care has been given in locating the buildings in and around the existing natural vegetation, additional landscaping has started and will complement well against the colour scheme. This too will add some more privacy to the separate bedroom modules while allowing glimpses into the snaking Wheatleys Creek which partly runs through the lower portions of the site.
