25.01.2022 need some light in your backyard??? Feel free to call for a free quote Aaron 0439690134 Artek Electrical... EC13409 See more

18.01.2022 HONESTY, is this something you value? Why was something I quoted recently less than 1/4 of the $2700 that somebody else originally quoted. If you want to know why, read on. How would you feel if your parents or your grandparents or even a friend was taken advantage of because something they are told by a tradesperson they should be able to trust leads them to believe they need to pay for something they don’t need and are they even doing the work they are quoting you for, this... is something that disgusts me, I have herd of it happening from some of the bigger companies but the company that quoted this job is advertising as a family business. I recently did a small job of installing a smoke alarm for an older lady that was selling the unit where she lived, while working there it came up in discussion that she also had an issue with her evaporative aircon and somebody had quoted $2700 to replace it and after she noted to the serviceman that she could not afford that he said he could just replace the motor for $1600. Now being experienced in this I offered to have a look... Was there anything wrong with the motor, No. Yes the machine had seen better days, the pads were rotten and mouldy, it was in a desperate need of a clean, the the water inlet valve and drain were leaking and a water spreader plate was broken. There are no fake photos here of a unit that is actually brand new, this unit had probably never been cleaned I the whole time she lived there and it had to be scrubbed with a steel wire brush to get it respectable. If you want to support someone that does an honest job please share this post, not just to support me but also to make your friends more aware that this dishonesty from companies is common and all I can suggest is maybe get a second opinion.

17.01.2022 When you build something and you are making up the schematic as you go in your head, then you get to wire 50odd and then think wait did I just do wire 49... who needs an engineer anyway, then you test it and it all works, just saying... Artek Electrical Aaron 0439790134 EC13409

15.01.2022 In relation to the previous post, when you engage a professional

14.01.2022 I won’t deny I’ve tried doing quite a few things myself to save a buck but have learnt the hard way that most of the time you are better off sticking to the profession you know, use that profession to save up to pay a professional for what you want done and maybe give them a hand where you can, this post makes me think of when I’ve heard someone that’s not an electrician say I can wire up a light, some downlights or an oven, sure it might work but will it be safe, will you kn...ow what to do if your house has old black TPS cable with no earth and you are installing a metal light fitting, will you know what an electrician is meant to learn in the 4 years of his apprenticeship, something that is not directly worded in one of the many Australian standards with nearly 400 pages that applies to Electrical work AS3000:2018 (Electrical installations, wiring rules) that in the above mentioned instance that light fitting must be rewired from the switchboard or another light circuit that has an earth, I ask is what might only be a few hundred dollars worth the life of a family member, a friend, a child. In my opinion give that professional that is working for you a hand and you will end up with a professionally finished job like the picture in the next post and probably save a bit for helping and making their job easier. 03.01.2022 Can your sparky achieve the unachievable? Even when faced with issues like concrete being inside light switch conduits... If they can’t, feel free to give me a call on 0439790134 I was asked by a customer if I could make his chiller for his wine room/man cave turn off when he turned on the light as it was a little noisy, now I figured being a 2 story house it should have conduits and worst case I should be able to pull up an extra switch wire to the light and then run a condu...it from the light to the chiller however the conduit had been broken during the first floor slab pour and even the existing cable inside it would not move so this is my testing of a pretty out of the square idea, what I came up with included the benefit of having to install no conduit on the ceiling at all, it involved battery wireless transmitter, power supply for wireless transmitter so never having to replace a battery, a few relays to connect light to transmitter and receiver to operate in reverse so if anything ever went wrong with it the wine would be kept cold, the light in the garage was to simulate the indoor fan being turned off but unfortunately I didn’t get a video in the wine store after I had hooked it up so you can still hear the fan running while the light inside the wine store is on whereas now it is exactly the way he wanted it, when you go inside and turn the light on the chiller turns off Artek Electrical Aaron 0439790134 EC13409 See more

01.01.2022 What’s going on in this FAIRYTALE, a sparky using a carpenters tool. Wait, did you say the sparky is actually working, your joking. 10 minutes from start to finish of removing a door to fit a door grill for air-conditioning fresh air requirements.... Efficiency is a word I feel is a bit like the phrase common sense you’re not really allowed to say it any more, though if you are looking for some efficiency while of course still upholding high safety standards then look no further. 01.01.2022 Who knows that saying if you want a job done right, do it yourself I won’t deny when I took this video I was angry though at least I can laugh about it now Tip for you DIYers, drill your green plugs with a 6mm bit instead on the 6.5-7mm that is recommended to be used, make sure you hammer it in perfectly straight so you don’t bend it and if you do bend it, use a wood chisel with the angled side against the wall to cut it off flush with the wall as long as you won’t notice... a tiny bit of the plaster being chipped off and you will end up with a much stronger fixing, if you can’t do chin ups off what you have mounted you have not mounted it correctly. Disclaimer: do not hold me accountable for you stupidly trying to chin-ups on something you haven’t mounted properly (these are 6mm expansion anchors not red plugs) Aaron Rowett Artek Electrical 0439690134 EC13409 #electrical
