12.01.2022 It is coming up to the one year anniversary of my ownership of Arteke. I take this time to reflect on the year it’s been. Buying this business has been a dream of mine for many years. I count my blessings that my husband has been an incredible support. Brent has always pushed me to do things that are out of my comfort zone and I am truly thankful for that. The anxiety of taking on a new team that have such close bonds with each other was most unnerving for myself. I don’t kn...ow why because you couldn’t ask for a more excepting group of women. I feel so proud that I get to work with a group of women that love and uplift each other daily. Not 2 months into my ownership of Arteke and I had to have spinal surgery. My new team just took the reigns and kept everything running perfectly, so I could recover without any work stress. Now who would that thought that a pandemic would happen this year ?! It has been an interesting time for everyone. Learning how to slow down and just be with each other has been both testing and rewarding. Again my team just took everything in their stride, understood and supported the decisions Brent and I made. As we head into the sublime time of year that is Christmas I’m very thankful for the lessons I have learnt from this a very testing and tumultuous year. I thank my beautiful and wonderfully supportive clients who without you the salon would not have survived all of this. To my team; just keep doing what you are doing.
