23.01.2022 We are happy to announce our registration for Artem Design Studio has been approved by the Architects Board of WA. This concludes the transitional restructuring of Artem Architecture into Artem Design Studio and onto the next phase of progressing this new dynamic architectural practice. I would also like to welcome on board Keng Lee to our Team. More on Keng soon.

21.01.2022 Completion of new sun shade louvre system to the north facing highlight window at the Coogee Beach Surf Life Saving Clubs function centre. Passive heating and cooling system design - Architecture by Artem

19.01.2022 Artem Design Studio were recently commissioned to design a new Food & Beverage facility to be incorporated with the re adaption of the existing Port Coogee Marina Services building. The design includes a new and upgraded Marina Club and amenities at lower ground floor level with a new restaurant and Bar (plus out door beer garden) on the upper ground floor and new first floor housing the Marina administration offices. Conceptual image of our design below.

15.01.2022 Artem DS recently submitted a design for the redevelopment of the Old East Fremantle Post Office Building on the corner of Canning Highway and Stirling Highway The design involved a residential tower that connected to the heritage listed old post office and slowly folding over all the while respecting it era and place in history. Sadly economics drove who finally won this tender and it had nothing to do with good design. We were not successful on this occasion. Therefore we thought it would be nice to publish what might have been.

08.01.2022 Interesting night at AIA listening to a speaker from WAPC re Design WA - 50 of my architect peers gathered to hear about the future of planning and built form design in WA with not too much of a surprize. We still await positive outcome of policies. However it was exciting to listen to the passion in the room for DESIGN from some renowned experts.
