We were invited to observe clouds and contemplate loss.... A result is this poem about adapting to changes and embracing uncertainty/ unpredictability. Full video: https://vimeo.com/446721733 To read the full poem + hear it read beautifully and crisply by Michelle St Anne of The Living Room Theatre, see: artemisprojects.com.au/poems/clouds LOSS is the result of getting used to things An exposition of settlement We fear LOSS We are not as liquid as CLOUDS But rigid, solid, proud Resistant to changes (although, not resilient)

17.01.2022 Restriction of movement and prohibition of touch is challenging for us all, but for a #dancer it has a whole other currency. Read an interview with dancer MIA KEVO where we consider current and ongoing implications of Covid19 on the performing arts: https://www.artemisprojects.com.au/mia-kevo-two-metres-futu Also! For tomorrow’s International Dance Day (29 April), Mia and KIP are inviting you to send a 60sec clip on the timely theme ‘come closer’. 09.01.2022 NEW PODCAST: Skyping Melbourne-based theatre maker and performance artist MISH GRIGOR shortly after her first ever online performance 'Wasting Wasting Wasting Time' to talk about her experience of performing online and what she has in mind when she speaks about time as waste. Can time be wasted? Or spent? Why is doing nothing the most difficult thing to do? What might happen if the culture of haste and non-stop productivity and consumption was replaced with culture of rest, cultivation, and slowness?

08.01.2022 A real honour to be featured amongst these writers/voices and thank you to @adsrzine for featuring my text on ‘touch’ in digital age, and for putting out this awesome publication in general. 07.01.2022 Yesterday I set down with wonderful artist Victoria Hempstead to talk about her recent body of work currently exhibiting at Gallery Sally Dan-Cuthbert in Rushcutters Bay, Sydney. In this short excerpt from the much longer podcast-conversation (coming up in a few days) she speaks about the body of work 'HUDDLE' which addresses the aftermath of 2019/2020 Australian bushfires and the fine line between fragility and resilience, trauma and hope. The exhibition is open today (Saturday 17 October) 11-4pm and Victoria will be there to answer your questions about the works.

03.01.2022 'DANCE MATTERS' PODCAST SERIES (#7) One of the people I met with back in January, to talk about WHY DANCE MATTER NOW? was Uni Lecturer, Nicole Sutton. There were many interesting things shared, but what strikes me the most right now is this section in which Nicole speaks about 'spatial awareness' in terms of the classroom configuration, or how there is something akin to choreography in setting up a learning environment. Now that our classrooms have moved onto zoom, I listen b...ack to this as an antique relic and wonder what does 'spatial awareness' signify to us now, in the digital world? Also, here is a wonderful The New York Times article that I read today and that prompted me to share this with you: tinyurl.com/y9bvq5sz The full podcast with Nicole as well as the transcript are here: https://www.artemisprojects.com.au/dance-matters-nicole-sut The bit mentioned above is 22'45''-26'30'', but its worth taking the full journey of listening.
