24.01.2022 Hi Guys, This week will be our final Thursday night dinner and duck race for the year.. they'll be back again next May! For our last dinner I thought we'd do something a little bit different to our regular night so the menu will be:... Tomato soup or Beef and Barley soup A selction of different meats (meatballs, pork koftas, ribs, wings ect..) With a few different salads Dessert will be sticky date pudding... and perhaps another dessert as well (see how much time I have on Thursday!) The usual details.. $20 per head and please let us know by 4pm Thursday if you're planning to attend. Hope to have a good crowd to see us out for the end of the season!

23.01.2022 Well, The river level is down so the tourists can get to Yowah, so that means it's time for Thursday night Dinner and duck race at the Caravan Park. Duck race at 6.00p.m. raising money for the flying docs followed by a 2 course roast dinner for $20. Book by 4.00p.m. Thursday. Last year we purchased a stretcher for the patient transfer vehicle, some new touch free taps in the doctors rooms and an electric physio table. About $5000 all up. Let's keep up the good work.

20.01.2022 Hi all! Just wanted to let everyone know we will be shutting at 6pm tomorrow (Sunday the 3rd) Sorry for any inconvenience. We also have filled all our powered sites for the next few days. However, we still have plenty of rooms and a small amount of unpowered sites avaliable.

17.01.2022 Our new ATM has arrived and been installed. The old one would not take the new $50 notes but the new ATM takes old and new $50s and $20s. So now you can get out $20 if you want. It still has a maximum of $250 though.

16.01.2022 Well the seasons starting to come to an end so I think this will be our 2nd last Thursday night dinner for the year.. Our Menu tonight will be: Pumpkin soup or Minestrone soup... Roast Beef and Vegies Bread and Butter pudding. As per normal bookings by 4pm tonight would be appreciated and anyone with specific dietry requirements let me know asap. Cheers.

09.01.2022 It's that time of the year again, so Thursday night dinners and duck races are back, starting this Thursday the 17th of May. There will be a two course meal being a choice of two roasts and two desserts. The duck race will be at 6.00p.m. with tea afterwards. Last year over $3000 was donated towards improvement for the RFDS and with that money we purchased a slab. Yep, a slab of concrete to park the aeroplane on. No more dusty or muddy feet. Hope to see you there.

06.01.2022 With the end of the tourist season looming, this Thursday, the 19th of September, will be the last dinner and duck race. We have raised over $4900 for projects in Yowah to assist the RFDS and we should make it over 5 grand this week. So book in before 4pm this Thursday for a two course roast and dessert and help the RFDS, Only a buck a duck (say that 5 times fast) Tango the dog will be there also to draw lots more prizes. A great fun night.

06.01.2022 Hi all, this Thursday the 20th of September, 2018 is out last roast dinner and duck race for the season. Come along and join us but book before 4.00p.m on Thursday. We have raised over $4000 for the flying docs so far, so one more big night would be great.

05.01.2022 In Yowah, we now have 2 cafe's open. The Yowah Nut Cafe at the RTC and the Blue Wren Cafe, 2 doors past the other end of the caravan park. To try and assist both business' we have closed our coffee shop for the Winter and will re-open after the tourist season when the cafe's close. We wish both cafe's the best and hope they both succeed.

04.01.2022 Well if you think the news of the ATM in Yowah was exciting, this is better. Scotty was awarded $5000 toward a project when he won man of the year for the RFDS. Through some fund raising rearranging and some generous donations we have managed to obtain a 2012 ex ambulance which will be used for transporting patients from town to the RFDS plane. It will be called the evac van as it will not be used as an ambulance but only as a patient transport vehicle. It should be here late next week and may take a few weeks to equip out and set up.
