18.01.2022 We are delighted to have the eloquent and elegant Anastasija Komarnyckyj exhibiting at this years Art Extravaganza. Anna has recently returned from an Artist Residency in France and we grateful for her input in curating this years event. Artist Statement from Anastasija. The natural environment is the purveyor of an ongoing source of material for my art’s practice. A childhood immersed in rural living, which incorporated bush exploration as a major pastime has translated to ...ongoing enquiry and inspiration. This connection provided then, as it does now, more than a mere physical experience related to place. Landscape furnishes a safe haven in which I reflect and gain understanding: a place to restore emotional balance and inner peace. Like the delicate threads of embroidery, these works oversee a greater picture; fusion of rhythm, texture and colour and, welcome speculation. The process and choice of medium informs the existing ambiguity with an intention to stimulate dialogue.

17.01.2022 We are really fortunate to have the very talented and supportive Christine Blowfield exhibiting at Art Extravaganza this year. Here is a few words from Christine... I am absolutely thrilled to be asked to be part of Art Extravaganza. Being able to showcase my art locally is amazing, as it travels Australia wide for exhibitions and is rarely seen locally. I’m really proud to have it shown in my local home town. I now live in Argyle, but I work in Bunbury. Painting subjects of ...my area is very important to me. I love Western Australia’s amazing unique Flora and our stunning light. Gum trees and wildflowers are a favourite. I try to include a different perspective or texture to try to make the viewer appreciate a subject that they may see every day. I have been painting and exhibiting from a young age and have had some nice successes. The most notable was winning the Vasse Art Award in 2012, if I never win another art award again, I still consider myself to incredibility lucky to have achieved this. This year I also received a Highly Commended in the Vasse Art Award as well. I also won the ‘Painting Award’ in 1997 and the Most Popular Vote Award in 2011 for the South West Survey, received a Highly Commended in the 2015 City of Bayswater Art Award. Also in 2015 I won the Most Popular Vote Award in the Open Art Award at The Perth Royal Show. This year I won the Overall Prize at the Boyup Brook Art Award and the Most Popular Vote as well. 14.01.2022 Adam Blowers is a modern contemporary abstract resin and mixed media artist, he is passionate about art! Adam held his debut exhibition at Kuka last April and has been making waves on the art scene since! A recent highlight was being selected to exhibit in this years South West Survey. Here is a little about Adam... I was born in Southampton and moved to Australia as a young child. I embraced the beauty of Australia and the Australian way of life whilst growing up in Arnhem L...and. I have always been immersed in Art. My mother is an artist, my brother is an artist and Art is a way of life for my family. As a teenager my family moved to the beautiful South West of Western Australia. As a young man with a desire to see the world, I set off on a journeyseventeen years travelling extensively over-seas, embracing other cultures has definitely enriched my context. A deep longing and pull for home saw me return to the South West of Western Australia. I am grateful for all of my experiences, grateful to be here, now, where I belong. I have studied the art of resin under well know Australian Artist Michael Parker at Stony Creek Gallery, Daylesford and Mixed Media Art under Margaret Coxall, Fremantle. I am passionate about Art and love learning new techniques and challenging myself to explore and create outside of my comfort zone. At present I am enjoying sharing my beautiful interpretations on life through the magic of resin and mixed media. I'm really looking forward to exhibiting alongside some fantastic artists at this years Art Extravaganza! See more

13.01.2022 Dee Mosca is the true embodiment of an artist who is committed and passionate about art. She works tirelessly to promote art within our community, we are grateful for all that she does for others. Her works are captivating and thought provoking. Artist Statement ~ Dee Mosca Stranded by means of physical presence. My art takes me on a journey in a place where time and space doesn't matter, it becomes a place where I'm home. The portraits are painted with acrylic ink on raw canvas and linen, and strategically drawn thread in another layer of vulnerability. Painted with a sense of minimalism, the feeling of emptiness is echoed. The viewer may be left feeling fragile, and hungry to feel connected.

13.01.2022 Well, it's all go at Kuka Home Bunbury today. Adamanda Art are there with assistance from Christine Blowfield and Anna Komarnycky doing the curating. Just had a chat with Kelly from The Rusticana and we're all go for delicious tasty treats to accompany the fine Bonking Frog Wines. Remember this event is all about raising funds for the Val Lishman Health Research Foundation's Gestational Diabetes project. Did you know that the incidence of gestational diabetes in rural areas is TWICE the state average? That is a staggering statistic and one that the Foundation would like to change for the better. See you there!

12.01.2022 We were fortunate enough to have the South Western Times come in to Kuka Home Bunbury yesterday to take photos and interview some of the artists in preparation for an article in the paper. Thanks to Adamanda Art for getting everyone together.
