16.01.2022 Anyone else feel like this when they get new supports?

11.01.2022 Hi all, I was wondering if any of you might like to help out. NICUs are Neonatal Intensive Care Unit, where premature and sick babies stay until they get strong enough to leave or sadly pass away. In Victoria we have 223 NICU beds over 4 hospitals. These are the tiniest and the sickies of babies. Some can stay there for as long as 3 months, like my little Willow did. The mums can only be in the NICU for small amounts of time, some from further a far can't make it at all. Of ...course COVID has made this process so much harder but this is also a place where the fear of germs was already very real and many infants unfortunately never go home. These mums come to feed, read or cuddle there babies but mostly just sit beside big plastic boxes with tubes, wires, lights and beeping that holds their little ones safe (isolation cribs). Life as a NICU family is extremely challenging and heart breaking but also beautiful and joyful as the babies fight to meet each milestone. This mother's day I want to ensure each of these mum's has a handmade mother's day card as they spend their mother's day staring into those little cribs. All cards need to be handmade and recieved by Art For The Mind (me) by the 9th April 2021. Please keep the cards general as these mother's may or may not be first time mother's, they may or may not have multiple babies in the NICU, may or may not be religious, they may or may not have partners and the babies may or may not survive. Cards can be sent without messages inside are preferred.
