Her mum had contacted me as her daughter had chosen me () to write a report on - for school assignment on contemporary WA artists! 20.01.2022 Good Habits #1 Well maybe.... production of limited run cards and giclee prints all in name order so I can keep track of what I produce. At the start of my arts practice several decades ago I was hell bent on merchandising my paintings however back then it was terribly expensive and to make it affordable I would have had to ordered HUNDREDS of each image ... Now I have my own giclee printer and only print what I either want or need. 16.01.2022 Welcome to my palette My essential colour base for underpainting, shadows, darker reflections & contrast. Not quite Paynes Grey but a purpley (a very technical term ) version. 12.01.2022 Ceraluen skies with Pacific Blue clouds Hope 120x60cm acrylic 2009... The original piece was sold at the Perth Royal Show with a second one being commissioned by client who missed buying it. The client had farewelled her Mum the week before and released yellow balloons. I have to admit it was rather emotional when I delivered the artwork. #ceruleanblue #hopesprings #artmatters

10.01.2022 WIP inside of my brain Well in reality its the inside of my studio, my bench to be precise. It wasnt staged but was the end result of yesterdays studio session. ... I start off fairly neat, then as works progress and need to dry I hop onto another piece and another...Im pretty sure I have 5 on the go today. 06.01.2022 Winter Sunday feels.... For me its the wood fire crackling, Sunday maybe a slightly slower day but still a doing day. Whether in the garden, in the shed (making a new display stand for my prints), outside with doggos, perhaps a trip to bush market to buy some more chooks, maybe some sewing BUT all the while (in my head) trying to conjure up solutions for art marketing.
